True. I was thinking about that last night. As they say, no plan survives contact with the enemy so I fully expect things to change. I did have Pottery before Animal Husbandry but I swapped those around to find horses.

Initial thinking is green dot (north with offshore stone) but it depends where the horses are.

Cool. I am just asking, because I think the PB13 forums are still raging about my lack of a proper defense against Mackoti (was it?) early on.

Turn 38 - 2480 BC
Boston borders expanded ...
... revealing a little more of the land over the water and bringing the copper inside my borders ... just in case I need it. Worker B finished the chop into Cambridge. Next turn for him is to farm the corn. Warrior returning to Boston.
Why do my pictures appear fuzzy in the thread and sharp on my PC? Is there some way to stop them being resized?

I rejigged the plan a little bit. Settler planned 1 or 2 turns earlier, more Boston growth, extra warrior. I also spent 1 more worker chop cycle. One turn on the plan ends with a settler at 98h at the end of the turn. There is nothing that I can see to push it over to 100h ![rant rant](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/rant.gif) .
Boston whipped its worker this turn - he will forest chop for the next 20 or so turns. The Cambridge worker (Worker B) moved to farm the corn.

I am gone until next weekend. Given the current pace, there might be a third city when I get back! :D

Settlers #2 and #3 come out within 2 turns of each other. Thus if there is City #3 then there will most likely be City #4!
Have fun(!) on your travels ... or is it just work?

Whipped Boston settler (need to rename to Worker O) moves to chop the forest 1NW of Boston. Worker B farms. Animal Husbandry tech selected. We are back to a clear #1 in score (by 2 pts).

I ordered a new, bigger computer monitor the other day. Moving from a 6 or 7 year old Dell 20-inch screen to a Asus 23.6 inch screen. I expect that my screenshots will get even tinier once it has been installed.

T31-T40 Summary
This set of 10 turns was one that showed that (sometimes) planning works. We landed The Stonehenge (free half creative trait for the balance of the game - yay us!).
<insert pic of stonehenge here>
However, the actual set started with the potential for the plan to be shredded, ruined, spoiled and generally left as a steaming mound of dung. I popped a hut with a warrior and got barbarians (only 1 - phew). Meanwhile, my one surviving scout popped a hut (for a map!) but ended up next to a bear.
The warrior survived (+2XP) while the scout had a much harder time of it ...
He survived the bear but two turns later got eaten by a wolf. Such is life.
Caledorn settled his 2nd city (Quartz) before I settled Cambridge (T37). We both beat Q.
I pulled together a Plan to take both Boston and Cambridge through to T60. Long on workers and settlers, very short on warriors. We'll see how long we can keep to this plan before getting weak in the knees and building some defenses.
The culture from Stonehenge brought our copper inside the 3rd ring on T38 ... so we have the option of roading / mining if we really need it.
mh is away this week so my thread is even duller than normal.

Worker B farms. Worker O chops at the capital. Everything else is on track. My new monitor is about 30 pixels higher and 250 or so pixels wider. However, the overall footprint feels smaller (it is shorter but the extra width has been pushed out to the side that my wife doesn't notice anyway).
It is easier to see the score leader now.
