Rush playing turns - No sims or any long term planning - making sillly mistakes i.e. having fun without pressure up to this point . Seriously though feel free to ask, if you want an update.

Well now that I'm in the front page for a shortwhile I give you couple of screenshots

Initially thought that I need to settle aggressively to claim land, but all cities towards Xenu were just subpar to what I've in my backyard (XEnu has better options here). Oxy is behind Xenu so I guess I got a longer stick in this neighborhood than Xenu though. I was already roading towards middle region so lost a bunch of worker turns there. Xenu also has Copper already inside his borders so I need Archers to be able to settle there. I was forced to postpone settling my 2nd city because of lion for a another turn. Huts gave lots of gold and nothing else. Lost scout long time ago for barbs and stopped mapping my surroundings after that.

I'll post a screenshot when I log in next time. Trying to settle my 3rd city between me and Xenu. It will be very conservative plant not to irritate him. I've also spotted Novice/Krill border behind the Canal in the south. That is obvivously bad news. Not really sure what I'm going to do. Probably just keep on playing with my gut feeling and see what opportunities come up. Both Xenu and Oxy are doing better than me at the moment so I probably got a bit screwed when considering the quality of the land nearby.

Pyramids would be very nice so it might be that I'll take a shot there. Too bad I've no stone close by. I'm not gonna push there very hard though so it might be I lose it even before I get to start it. I didn't get any techs from huts so there surely will be teams with big head start grabbing that wonder.

dod you get techs from huts in pb8? More than starting land, hut luck and other factors, i think being recognizing neighbor mistakes and taking advantage of them is what determines the winner. in other words, go fight win!

I think I might have got 1 tech in PB8. I can't remember for sure.

Just finished BW and converted to Slavery. Gonna settle next turn on C in the middle between me and Xenu. I'm a bit behind with my 3rd city, but I just had to settle here to make my land claim in the neighborhood. There would have been better places closer.

Got also Master Bowyer event that is very nice. All my Archers have Combat I now and they'll be backbone of mydefenses since I need to be defending against potential naval invasions and they're by far cheapest way to do that within next 30T.

Yes. I think all promos are kept when upgrading. Only experince is dropped to 10 in case the unit has more than that.
