Some updates:
Edirne comes out of anarchy and gets renamed to Rabid Dog:
I am unsure why I didn't name a city after this episode before, because it's a good one. It's the one where Jesse tries to burn down Walt's house but doesn't and eventually, Walt calls in a hit on Jesse.
Anyway - plan here is to whip in a pavillion to get the corn and other cow soon - there's a ton of great tiles in this city, so building up infra should be fast.
C-H's stack hauling ass away (hopefully, not going around to the other side of the lake to threaten Breakage, etc.
Tech situation:
pretty sure TT is heading to liberalism. eastway is 2 turns to education - I'm 3, I think (1 for paper, two for education). I think I can get unis up pretty fast with some heavy pop whips to get oxford up.
TT getting lib is a pain, but me getting the free merchant will be nice.
I haven't shown a pic of the demos with me in a GA yet...
that, of course, includes paper with 2 pre-reqs, but it's still impressive, if I do say so myself.

I am amused by your policy of using Pavilions like monuments, I must say.

Game gets interesting - in the interturn, this happened:
War and 2 GG!!
That turns out to be C-H going after eastway from Florem.
Can't really blame him - he's losing and he's got a ton of praets taking up space and getting more obsolete. if he had more cats, that attack might do something. As it is, it just opens him up for this:
I now have declared war on everyone but TT...
The only other thing interesting is the tech situation:
TT got banking, which means he's beating me to the econ GM. I can 4 turn education/banking/econ, but I'm sure he can get it in 3 or even 2 turns. I'll probably give up on it - econ, by itself, isn't very useful - invalidating castles and I'm better off in mercantilism, anyway - I lose some trade route, but I gain 3 beakers per city plus whatever else the specialist gives me, which is more than I'd lose.
I dunno if anyone noticed, but eastway is about to get liberalism, which is good for him, though I think he's only going to be able to get printing press or something like that. Helpful, but not game breaking.
well done - I thought it was going to be TT.

The interturn:
eastway and C-H made peace, which will be interesting in a second.
TT gets liberalism!!
eastway gets an engineer - presumably, he'll rush something. Sankore is out there. Sistine Chapel would be annoying. Paya is out there, but he won't rush that - ToA, as well. He might save it for kremlin, or use it for Oxford. Notre Dame seems a possibility, but this is a pretty lux rich world, so the happy isn't as useful. he's kicked off his 1 GP GA, so he might save it for a 2 person GA, I dunno
C-H made a nice move. I believe that eastway offered him peace and he took it, which put his entire (wounded) stack back in his culture so he could move it back.
It just didn't work out very well - I had more than 2 catapults and I had a bunch of cho-ko-nu and that stack of HA he couldn't see and... well, he had a lot of units and a city and now he does not.
I lost 2 cats in the exchange, mainly cause his units were all hurt and I got 90+% odds on nearly every attack. It took almost all my units, but I took Florem. I am offering him peace back, since I'm not really set up for a war of conquest. I dunno if he'll take it or not - he's probably kinda upset. Sorry, C-H.
here's the list of battles:
I probably got lucky there - I should have lost at least once - I didn't have 99% odds on everything, mainly 90% or so.
i still would have taken the city - I had a mace and 2 LB that didn't attack - but my defense against counter-attack wouldn't be as good. It's pretty solid now - knight, 4 LB, mace.
in other news, TT got liberalism by virtue of the turn roll. No idea what he's taking. That may (or may not) mean I get economics. I get banking next turn and can 1 turn economics.

TT picked up Economics as well. Well done, TT. Plus, he got SoZ, which is a pain in the ass. How did we miss banning that?
he and eastway are 1 turn from Printing press, so I figure I should get it, too. I switched to Mercantilism and Pacifism to try to squeeze out a couple of GP's.
After that, compass->optics for some whale action. Gonna stay away from astro for awhile, to keep collosus alive. that's 3 turns - after that, gunpowder->chem->music->miltrad, I think.
btw - I probably have to hit TT sometime - his game has been entirely too easy for him. it's not easy - we don't really share much of a border. And SoZ is a pain in the ass, too.

Did I break C-H? I feel a little bad about that...
Not a lot of report - TT is sending a GM towards me - I thought about closing borders, which would also trap 3 workers until he built a galley to get them, but i decided not to. it will only cost him 60 odd gold and will incent him to do the same thing to me if I choose to send one.... and I'll make more cash.
1 turning compass (build a harbor or two along the way), then optics. compass is at 20%, optics will be 30 or 40%. After that, gunpowder->music->mil trad, i think. I'll get some whaling boats out, build a caravel, perhaps.
Get another GP in 3, then a another a turn or two after that. Anyone know what happens if two cities can create GP, which city creates it? is it the first one settled?

Turn 114:
TT got a scientist and build Notre Dame. I'm not sure that's a very useful build on this map (tons of happy anyway), but its; hardly bad.
Building oxford:
That will take a little longer out of the GA.
I'm building the AP!
I have 9 temples now and I'm whipping in a few more - they will be a nice source of hammers in the 1 tile cities.
Current demos - this is the last turn of a GA, so that will get worse, of course. Current plan (more on this next turn) is to go to cuiraissers and then take down B4ndit, C-H and eastway, thus not having to fight TT on his home soil until later.

Got a new turn! I didn't catch a screenie, but my GA ended and TT fired one up. Plus, I got a GM from Say My Name, which is going to go to TT for money boost for curaissers
Interestingly, I'm still kicking ass in GNP with TT in a GA, though not so much building stuff. That's a combo of mercantilism rep specialists and great lighthouse, as well as culture, of course - I'm guessing my real research is not quite as strong as TT's right now, but then, I'm not in a race for anything.
Say My Name gets the AP in a few turns:
- that's 2 hammers per temple/monastery, which is a nice little boost.
have a new settler going to the last 1 hex island i have - that will give a nice boost:
Time to start removing players: B4ndit first.
I'll move the two workers to the forest next turn and build up a force of cho-ko-nu, cats, knights->cuirassier and HA to hit Pelargir. Should be able to launch an attack in 2 turns. That won't kill b4ndit for awhile, and I have to be careful about TT, cornflakes and C-H still, but maybe they'll chime in. After that, probably C-H and then carve up eastway. Or, get into a fight to the death with TT, of course

Setting up for the attack (I took a peak and it looks the same)
2 turns to mil trad is annoying, but then, saving up for upgrades is useful - I can take the city and then upgrade a ton of knights, etc.
One thing I have to start worrying about is cornflakes. He was a strong opponent in PB9 and I'm sure that the lighthouse is a target city for him, especially since he can hit it out of the fog. So I'm going to start producing muskets for defense up there - eventually, I'll probably slog my way through him.
