Hi guys,
I've read and enjoyed the Pitboss reports here for a while, finally bit the bullet and decided to sign up. I'm going to lurk German Joey in PB20 (I know him from another site).
Are there any lurking etiquette rules I should be aware of, other than 'don't spoil him?' I'm assuming I shouldn't even take a look at the other spoiler threads if I'm going to be offering him advice / telling him what a noob he is, right? Anything else?

Welcome!
If you're only going to read his thread and no one else's (and not the lurker thread) then you can say whatever you want, it's up to you and GermanJojo how much you want to participate. You are effectively on his team - we use the term "dedicated lurker" or "dedlurker".
If you read someone else's thread or the lurker thread though, you are a "global lurker" and you should take care not to influence the game. Hope that makes sense.

Hello Realms,
having followed the Pitboss reports for a couple of months, I finally signed up and thought this could be the right place to introduce myself.
Been playing Civ since the 90s, Civ 4 mainly on RFC modmods and a little standard SP, but never ever MPed. I fear this will not change, as I definitely can't commit to being online regularly every day during months, but if someone patient (and green as me) would like a duel I would be happy to give it a try. Or maybe I could join a succession game, we'll see. Right now I'll have a try at Adventure 60.
Thanks so far to everybody reporting on the MP games, it's been very entertaining!

Welcome!
Re time commitment required for regular MP play: That's what I thought too, but I simply could not resist.. Teaming up with someone with more time is also a decent option!

I think you get it after making at least one post.
