Yeah, that's weird. I logged in and got the same screen kuro had, and when I went in the turn had been resolved already. Everything had been moved, research was +1 from when it was when I started, buildings had advanced +1 from when I started the turn, etc... Stuff that happens when you press enter.

The game was paused and wouldn't let me unpause it, so I don't know what to say here. I think the religions being randomly founded in 2 of my cities was probably not a good sign for the health of this save file

The issue of asking for the wrong password is a well reported issue impacting pbem games that was added in the 3.19 patch (or there abouts).

It is caused by a player completing the turn and the game generating the save to forward. Then the player says 'wait a minute ... I want to XYZ' and replays the turn, hitting the End-Of-Turn. Here is where the poor game gets confused. Previously it deleted the file that was already there and created a new one. Now it mashes them together (or similar).

The solution is to DELETE the save file that you emailed from the pbem save directory and replay the turn. Then when the game comes to create the save to forward, there isn't one, it creates one as per normal and we are all smiles.

Finally got to play, Save worked, will be playing and sending it off soon. Glad to have this game back with all the Pitboss silliness!

HDD failure issues might take away my only CPU that is Civ-able. If this happens should Whosit take over, does someone else want to or what? Sorry for bringing this up but I can't really control this kind of thing.

Oh dear. Well, when I signed up, I was not planning to become the main player. I can take over for a limited time, but it would be nice not to go solo.

Also... where is the save right now?

A friend is giving me about 300 dollars so I might not be booted off after all, but the worst case scenario of it happening is still possible, I definitely won't be able to play today and probably not tomorrow either.
