Okay, you guys are being better sports about this than I am, for which I apologize.
If we're going to keep playing, we have the option to implement the fix or not (assuming we can fix without a restart). I think if we don't implement the fix, the game will be very lopsided. I'm also not so happy with the other option, not because I think it leaves me underpowered (+4 beakers in capital is still really good) but because Keelyn isn't a leader I would have chosen if I wasn't worried that I needed a Summoner to keep up with the competition.
Anyway, it won't matter for a while yet so I'll keep the turns flowing.

Sorry... just being unnecessarily grumpy on the internet.

So it looks like the consensus is heading towards restarting (in the other thread), giving the summoner leaders their second pick. Whilst I would prefer not to complicate matters, would I be able to play with the patch-weakened Os Gabella?
This is not for any reason of strength or capability - indeed, with a non boosted summoner she is doubtless the weakest leader in the game - but I would really like to test the Sheaim civ this game. I know this creates extra work in implementing the patch - sorry! - but I would really like to see how they do.

If just one of you can work the fix and upload it, then the rest may just paste that file. It's a really simple change - I can almost do it on my phone - and just uses the standard notepad and uploading to the fora, so very, very little work.

Yes I can. I need a link to whatever fix you're using. (Or is the idea to avoid Summoner leaders and not use a fix?)
If the idea is to give Summoner leaders one of their runner-up picks, I can give Yell0w his 2nd pick with no clashes. I can also give HidingKneel his 4th pick without a clash (originally his 1st pick before he knew about the Summoner change, and he has expressed interest in this pick recently in his thread). Under these circumstances Q could take Os-Gabella with no clashes.
If you all want to repick leaders, I can optionally make one simple change to the map (converting 3 hammer plants -> 2 hammer plants).
Let me know what you want me to do, happy to help.

the idea is not to change anything on the map, just let the summoners get the next available civ (except for q that gets os gabella), and apply the patch q should explain us how to apply it.

Q emailed me the following fix last night:

And search for "Summoner". Beneath there should be a series of rows which affect what the trait does. Fins the one that goes something like [Commercechange]4[/Commercechange] (terminology is wrong, but you'll know it when you see it) amid a bunch of other [Commercechange]0[/Commercechange] and change the 4 to a zero.
I haven't had the opportunity to implement it yet. I imagine it will break save files, but I'm not certain. Perhaps someone who knows more about modding could say.

Just tested it, doesn't break savegames. (Raises the interesting hypothetical that someone could edit this before they play to give themselves hundreds of extra commerce with no trace.)
But you don't want to continue with Summoner giving no commerce boost, right? So breaking savegames or not doesn't matter.
Restarting from T0 with the following leaders:
1. Whosit/Yell0w (Flauros of Calabim)
2. Aurorarcher (Sheelba of Clan of Embers)
3. HidingKneel (Kandros Fir of Khazad)
4. Kredom (Volanna of Svartalfar)
5. Qgqqqqq/Bobchillingworth (Os-Gabella of Sheaim)
