Dazedroyalty (plugger, grinder) as
Fredrick (Philosophical, Organized) of
Egypt (Wheel, Agriculture, War Chariot, Obelisk)

Dazed is a veteran of countless scrums. He always finishes well, although never quite pulls of the win. He's certainly competent, though...he determinedly spannered my works in PBEM 48 with Egypt, willingly attempting a war chariot push then knighting me during my Snowball Ascension Ritual. Dazed is an indifferent builder but a solid tactician and rarely aggressive. He won't sit quietly by while someone goes nova, let's just hope Pin is the one who earns his ire this time.

Poor Dazed got the shaft with the last pick; I mentioned all the goodies Fredrick gets with Egypt...but none of those goodies are fast, simple, or dependable outside of war chariots. Whew boy. We're going to receive war chariots, aren't we?

TURN 0
That's not a portrait you ever want to see at the beginning...

No matter! We're off to the races. First, we need to check to make sure Gawdzak didn't make a hash of the settings. Looks good!

The scout explores southwest, because that's where the river goes. And we have an easy second city candidate! Pottery from Fishing a go. smoke

The stalwart capital of Knapford looks...absurdly good, actually. Only two resources, so I'm hopeful for a copper/horse/iron here. Cottages...

Here are the dull demos of dullness, for the nonce. Pottery or Animal Husbandry are being teched by my French and Egyptian buddies.

Promising times ahead! Now let's hope Ichabod can get his tech woes all sorted.

A final note; I need two additional beakers to manage the double-worker magic act plan. Express the Scout is on a quest; to seek out and find new life, new civilizations; to boldly go where no scout has gone before to gain a mild known tech bonus advantage!

More of the same, I reckon. It's all good.

I'm posting these demos for future reference, no worries about any vast or deep analysis now. Some daft bugger might grow in two turns...

My dear scout found us a tremendous gift in the form of riverside plains silver. Tremendous! Coupled with the nearby ivory, I'm looking at an actually semi-decent early happy cap. Just as essential? Lots of riverside grassland. Cottage this land, please!

As you can see, this is also the beginning of turn three, so borders popped. Right now it is looking like I can sensibly delay Agriculture until sometime after Calendar. That's helped, of course, by the ludicrously green land...looks like not only tundra and ice, but also desert, was removed or at least lessened in incidence. The Burger King of Fast Workers approves! Imp out an ICS grid and go to town. yup

Just ignore how nice this land is for Fin, please...

I'm going to accept the turn's delay even if I can't find those two spare beakers. Tech path:
-Hunting
-Animal Husbandry
-Bronze Working
-Fishing
-Wheel
-Pottery
...then cottage every tile that can be cottaged!

Or, conversely...Hunting just came in, so next is Archery. shhh

Make contact? Well...C&D says that was Hunting, so no free beakers there...

Ah, Pin, Pin....
