Hey guys, I'm having a problem with the save. I try to open it on the PBEM option, as usual, but it says something about the files being protected and the game crashes. I try opening old PBEM saves and they work fine. I have the new No Pitboss Civ patch, maybe that's what's causing the problem.

Anyone know what may be wrong?

The new one doesn't work either, but the problem is on my end, since retep said he can open the save fine. Any ideas about what the problem could be? Do you guys have the steam version of Civ or the CD one? That's the only thing that I can think of that could be causing such a problem.

I've never experienced that before; not sure what could be the problem (I have the Steam version if it becomes relevant).

In other news, I've learned I may be travelling for part of my window tomorrow. I will be able to play fine (assuming we have figured out this issue), just might not get it sent as promptly as I usually will.

Hey, guys, I need to go to sleep because I'm really tired. Sorry for this delay, but I never had this issue before and I'm totally lost about what to do. If no one knows why this is happening, I'll try to reinstall Civ tomorrow. One of my ded-lurkers can help me play the game so we can move forward, but I don't think there's a point in doing it while I'm not sure what I'll have to do to fix this.

Could this have anything to do with the "patch"?

And no worries Ichabod, there's always something wrong at the start of a game. A little surprised that nobody has found they have the wrong starting techs yet.
