The lurker thread debated swaps like that, or re-rolling the set, or rolling a bigger set (e.g. 30 combos) that would be easier to find a middle ground in. In the end, Gawdzak decided to give y'all exactly what you asked for - 20 random combos, ranked and then trimmed at the top and bottom.
India wouldn't have made the list without Charley, I don't think...

So just in case I felt like being a complete and total jerk, here's my potential pink dot plan. There is an uber city just loaded with forests and rivers and hills, with grass cows and gh pigs for food, and riverside plains hill silver for extra love, planted 1NE of the silver. That's a greedy plant that claims all good things in between Pindicator and I and basically ruins his game if I'm allowed to keep it.
I'd need to amplify the utter ridiculousness of the plant by landing a good source of culture there post-haste. The two reasonable (for some values of reasonable) sources are Stonehenge and a religion. I need to examine Stonehenge as a possibility, but to be honest that's probably too slow and it definitely needs two fast workers plus bronze working. So 'henge is valid for more cautious plants further north, but Buddhism is the only source my middle finger plant can really get behind. So the plan looks something like this, with the Wheel a placeholder; part of bronze or archery could also “reasonably” serve.
If I do this, I need reachable horses nearby or else have to tech archery; at this point I've now completely left all good play behind then and should shelve bronze working and chops for a while more. Archers are cheap enough that the capital can reasonably expect to bang out 1 per turn for a little while. This plan is crazy, I probably won't do it. But I kind of want to.
The nice-working 4t early settler has merit for other more peaceful plans, of course, I'll examine them as well. Everything hinges on horse availability when AH lands; I'm holding off any decisions until then.

Isn't founding and holding asshole plants sort of Charlie's whole schtick?

But this particular plan would be taking it to the uttermost extreme. And um, also has a very real possibility of voluntarily fighting the bad end of axes vs. archers.
I'm also looking at the slightly saner but still aggressive play of continuing to tech bronze working, settling a bit west for just cow/silver, and chopping out Stonehenge. Like I said, I'll need AH to land before I can decide.
Super jealous of Pin's river on that deer. Would make tech sooo much easier/less constraining.

Though I'm a bit new in these forums, isn't a play like this just the thing why people hate being your neighbour? And also seems like a duel play, drawing you into a consuming early conflict. Though I'm a lurker, I should be encouraging this .

But come on, even if I opt against it, you the viewer at home deserve to get a taste of at least the idea...besides, let's be reasonable, I'm neighboring Dazed, THH, and Ichabod fairly closely here too just by the nature of the map, I doubt they'll mind me being their neighbor.
It is totally duel play. Which is largely because of the skill disparities and leader inequalities you see here; Pindicator with a good leader of a good civ is my first, second, and third threat. THH is rocking the only other Financial, while Dazed and Ichabod have better leaders, neither is up to Hannibal's snuff. If I can punch out Pin, I think I can give the rest a run.
So yeah, this is me punishing Pindicator for taking Hannibal of France.

Are you talking about building SH *in* the pink dot itself, or building it somewhere else and using the SH culture to expand borders?

In, of course! 9 culture per turn mean six quick turns to third ring; doubles and nets be 17cpt soon and fourth ring would dominate the region. But the pulled-back Stonehenge city (I refuse to call something on my side of the line a pink dot) would permit a ghetto pig outpost on yonder plains hill.

Then we won't call it pink, call it full-blast neon pink!
I like it!

What's the sabotage formula again? This is obviously a worker, but still...
Pin finished Mining! That's great; I'm pretty sure that means Bronze Working is next. Which means those two spare beakers may happen!
