Grats Pind! Actually I find that rogue is really strong in that it can rack up wins with all sorts of deck compositions, the last arena I played was also Rogue:
0 - backstab x3 2 - shiv, loot hoarder x2, amani berserker x2, bloodgill raider, sunfury, defias ringleader, kobold geomancer 3 - blood knight, flesh eating ghoul, MC tech, imp master 4 - dark iron dwarf, oasis snap jaw x2, senjin, ogre magi 5 - azure drake x2, fen creeper, frostwolf warlord, spiteful smith x2, stranglethorn tiger 6 - kidnapper 8 - Ragnaros I thought this draft was going to suck due to the lack of class cards apart from the Backstabs and awkward looking curve, but ended up going 12-2. Blood Knight, MC tech, spiteful smith (weapon substitute) and 3+ damage backstabs were the MVPs. my conclusion from this one is that if you don't draft much in the way of class cards it works well to use neutral utility creatures (blood knight / MC) as the swing cards, and if you do you also need to compensate by drafting more 2 or 3 drops so you aren't forced to play them in the early game. Blood knight almost always gets to eat a divine shield if you hold on to it. (September 9th, 2014, 15:32)Jowy Wrote: Hey, I haven't played in a while. Sure on launch it liked to freeze because the servers were overworked but I didn't have any problems with the later releases which were probably less busy.
Finally took a little time to finish off Kel'Thuzad to complete all Heroic's last week. I really had no clue what sort of deck I should use to beat him but my Shaman deathrattle deck managed to get out 2 Thaddius' and my Sylvana's stole one of his 5/5 taunts so that may have helped.

I'm clearing the third wing atm. Glad to have found out that the challenges get a lot harder. Got stuck against Instructor Razuvious in heroic mode (he's the one with 20 attack weapons). Finally beat him by thoughtstealing two of those weapons on T3. Got pretty close to beating him a few times in a less cheesy way, but ran out of steam.
Got back into Arena after watching the Lord of the Arena 2 tournament. Hadn't played in over half a year, I think.
The game did a bait and switch on me, offering me the Mage class twice in a row, but not a single fire strike up for grabs in 180 cards. |
