[Spoilers] REM and AdrienIer's thread of football, spamming and blaming it on the mod

You mean hut popping not tech popping yes?

I will leave the final decision to you, but we know that we have a pretty good micro plan as is without any faster techs. Plus remember the game we just played. I gained a huge advantage picking up all the huts denying them to you. If we manage to claim more for ourselves we will be in a stronger position, and this one will be sealed off by our culture instantly. We will probably get a lovely map of the ocean if we pop it now...

Ok (it's too unimportant too warrant a wall of text). If we don't get any gold from other huts we should pop this one with the second warrior to be able to stay at 100% research even after our 2nd city is up. I was pretty disappointed with the little peninsula there, I kind of expected it to be the main land we should settle.

The SIP capital wouldn't have been a strategically important canal, but I'm wondering if the southern plains hill is (of course the water tile in the fog could be a lake tile).

Ah it's not too bad. I feel less bad about not having the canal like you said now too. It's either west or east with the scout that we need to decide really, but we can have capital culture to guide us before we commit to either direction with that. With the amount of grassland we should have a half decent beuro cap. It's just a little light on production but the whip can work around that smile

It seems that everyone has SIP (waiting on Furungy), and I assume the map was made for us to SIP as well. I hope there's no copper on the tile our scout started on for example.

Unless it had been put under a forest purposefully we will not have lost any resources. But let's wait with bated breath...

Just logged in. Not too convinced that we are in the south now. If you use the zoom out function I seem to be able to look further south than north. Unsure what to make of that with the land that we can see. I would say best move here is to move the scout whichever direction seems more lush, either west or east, and save that peninsula for backfill?

For now I'd rather go west to see if there's a good spot that uses the fish/crab there with something else. But of course if the capital gives us sight on gems in the east we'll run there as fast as we can wink

Only issue is that it would be slower to get a workboat out west than east. Remember with the sims we had a workboat complete the turn after the settler, but that will take a fair while to get west having to go round the peninsula.

I think fish would be a great third city as we will get fish in culture by turn 50 with capital culture don't forget, for some more flexible settling options.

True. I won't be able to play the turn until later tonight, so if you get the chance please play it.

Btw can you check out the other pitboss? I have got myself into a great position and can't decide where to go now. I am gonna settle an island city for TRs and expand as fast as possible but cannot decide whether iron working to open up the jungle or monarchy with a lack of happy would be best... I missed Judaism by 3 turns, but I'm not too bothered. I cannot do much without more happy!
