Yeah a 6F would have to be 3 settle tile and working a 3 tile. Some very different start here then!

I played the turn a while ago, doing the move towards the hut. Note mackotis score increase? Someone got lucky with a but tech... Working on a revised sim now.

I played and popped the hut... and got us a tech! Fishing smile Great news technologically, but could completely change any form of micro plan... Bah. This needs some playing around in the sim to see whats what.

Also we are definitely in the extreme south. The land is a little... Barren.




Go SE - NE with the scout next turn?

Also we need to work out what to tech after bronze working now. I think either sailing or the wheel, depending on whether we will have a coastal second city or not. We should work out whether we will or not by then.

Is it Estadio Azteca ? Or do we use the city names each times, so Mexico ? I think major football stadiums is the best, using stadiums that hosted a world cup or euro/copa america game or an olympic tournament's finale. N°2 would be the Melbourne Cricket Ground for the final of the Melbourne olympics, then Camp Nou for the Barcelona Olympics, and then Johannesbourg's Soccer city.

I agree with the scout moves, a city 1E of the sheep could be nice depending on what's in the fog (meaning, if there's more food in the fog). Fishing is a good tech to pop, maybe it would be worth it to make a WB right away now ? Needs to be sim'ed out.

Edit : by right away I mean right after the worker of course.

I moved the scout SE-NE, and next turn will probably be NE-N or something. Now we have some interesting resources !

I'm still trying sims, going workboat now I can't get to work. Let stick with the worker plan. That fish is a little far out and icy to be good this early, but the sugar/plains hill looks like a nice possible settle. NE NE next turn will give us full visibility of that sea to see if there are any ocean resources there.

Edit - that sugar there looks very suspicious of being worldbuildered in... But we are far away from an hus to use that deer. And re the sheep, definitely great to use but we do not need to be that close to it to use it. whatever happens by turn 51 (with the revolt) it will be picked up with capital culture. Looking how barren it is down there we will probably need to stay coastal and use cheap lighthouses to make cities viable here. My gut says that on the tundra river tile would be better probably...

Maybe if I had the foresight last turn to switch production it may have been, but definitely not now in sims. Bare in mind that we would not be getting the worker out quicker as a 4/0/2 tile is the same as 2/1/0 with the exp bonus. We would gain some food but not be able to work the better tile for longer.

Going workboat straight after I can get settler eot 29 in slavery 2 pop whipped with enough overflow to 1 turn a worker the next turn, with 3 forests chopped. Or born eot 28 size 4 chopping 3 forests but not in slavery. Warrior does not come out until turn 25 though, and there is only 1 of them.

However sticking closer to the original plan, modifying slightly, if we go warrior first but the first chop goes directly into a workboat (still the fastest we can build it) I can get settler born eot 28 with the warriors still coming on t18 and t25 with the settler 2 pop whipped and there being 15 overflow, much more than previously. The good thing about this plan is it only needs 2 definite forest chops, and if we go wheel right after the worker can road with only 1 turn spare before the wheel comes in. Basically this gives us flexibility to either road the settler to his destination faster, gets us into slavery and allows us to still go for 3 chops if we want an instant worker/workboat using the overflow. (You can probably work this one out yourself how to achieve this, but the key is to chopping the workboat and revolting to slavery after the wheel is in)

I'm pretty happy with this plan, and I can type it up before I go to work this evening hopefully if you agree? Essentially about 10-15 hammer overflow better than the best sim I sent you for comparison. We get 2 early warriors 1 to send west and pick up goody huts and a second to be able to escort the settler to wherever.

One other thing, as this is monarch we only get 1 free barb win, not 2. Whilst I know it is awkward if we are exploring, we should try and keep animals away from being able to hit the scout. That way even if there is a bear blocking the warrior escorting we do not need to worry.
