West Scout into the forest 7-4?

I'd take the risk on the South Scout; put him on the Forest Plains Hill then pop the Hut and heal afterwards.

may be go on hill with the top one? 7-8. There can be a village near the coast. And I smell somebody is around. We have got beyond the mirror. Flood plains, silk... havent we seen that?

I would also take risk and go for hut before healing and before we start BW smile

I think there's 1t between being able to start BW and being able to pop the hut; do you want to put 1t into something else (Hunting?), start on BW anyway, or dial research down to 0 for a turn?

I think the 3rd option is wrong, and would probably just start on Hunting.

I'm also not convinced we should build a third Scout after the Worker; given the likely closeness of the Northern Coast, I think we can de-fog easily enough with just a Warrior, and that has more long-term value (and less likely to be eaten by a Bear as soon as he steps out of borders! smile ).

I'm available for hut-popping duty this evening if needed...

I am not serious about BW. Lets start teching it. We cant rely on getting exact tech from hut.
About warriors I am not sure. I'd say "no" if we are going to explore with it. "Yes" if we are going to backstab our west neighbor or keep it defending. Scout is better in revealing and popping huts, against bear in fact too because you can move more carefully. Our current scouts will be busy scouting beyond our neighbor. The more and the faster we find enemies the better. And we also can not neglect making precise maps of our coasts.

Makes sense on the Scout; I do think we're going to be using it to clear the neighborhood fog, and we've probably got a lot of land to explore on a Huge map anyway.

BW next rather than Hunting? The Sheep is going unimproved for a long time (remember that Pastures are on Hunting not AH in this mod)

I remember. But I still think that we have to mine up sheep. I believe that early bronse working will give us more in production than just a sheep. We can make sanbox though. The criteria is how fast we are able to build settler.

Also revealing cooper can be very important.

Hmmmm, I can see how that would work out better. No issue with going that way, just wanted to hear the rational.

Well, a measly 42gold from the Hut, so can't say my luck is any better!

Northern Scout was more interesting as there was a Lion in view (to the South & marked), and we had met dtay! His Scout was on the Hill we were aiming for 7-8 of our Scout. As noted in-game, his Scout was facing North, so probably came from the SW. I moved our Scout onto the hill as well, revealed another hill to the West and so moved him there - more coast to the North, and more Corn to the West. We might want to turn this guy to the South to try and find dtay's Capital. End of turn EPs showed as 4/4, so we are probably the first opponent that he has met.

I set up BW as the next research target.

Worker popped and was sent North towards the Corn. Since it makes no difference to when he can start Farming the Corn, I had him put 1t of Farm into the Grassland between the Cap and Corn. I am 98% certain that I managed to cancel this action before logging out.

Scout is in production, but I switched the worked tile to the FP for quicker growth.

Played turn. West scout is revealing more calendar resources, south scout heals for 6 turns in the woods. Worker started farming the corn.

Looks like we will have to replay this turn after all.
