I agree that could be possible and would be smart, but if we get a warrior up there then he cannot settle there safely. So getting one of those 2 warriors to that plains hill should be our priority!
Also I dunno if you saw but there are crabs useable by a city on that tile we can see the outline of so I expect that to be a pretty viable spot.

If settling 1N gets us a fish instead it changes everything, we can get the crabs with a city on the grassland tile. So I won't put that spot in our temporary dotmap till we have more info.
Any reaction on Wales being first of group B ? It's only after 3 games and because Israel-Belgium has been postponed but it's still a good omen.

Yeah we need to know what is up north preferably before putting anything definite up there. There are a fair few other spots to settle so it will not harm us too much.
As for Wales, very excited! Cautious optimism is needed here. If Israel pull something out of the bag at home to belgium, which they could as I cannot see much belgian support travelling there, then they could become a serious rival for the other qualification spot. I kinda wanna see belgium trash everyone else to give us a clearer ride for the spot! We are also rather dependent on Bale's fitness as well, so we could easily be derailed. But things were looking pretty good in the match until the red card I thought.
Edit - turn has rolled. What are we gonna do with the workers? I think one to chop for MCG and one to chop for EA, onto the tile he can reach in one turn. Then switch to a settler at size 3 for a 1 pop slave when able - we need to race GJ to that PH site!

That sounds right, you want to do it ? I also noticed that only GJ settled this turn, how many people are still stuck at 1 city ?

Turn played. Moved the workers to the respective forests and they can begin chopping the forests. Cap will grow at the end of turn so will need to be switched to a settler next turn, and to work the lake (2 commerce is more important you agree?) Poly hasnt gone, due in 6 turns, but should be 5 with working the lake tile for commerce. That will have it in at turn 40... Hopefully fast enough!
Moved Ronaldo to clear the coast, nothing else interesting seen. I did however note it is now turn 35. This turn barb units will start spawning. What are your feelings about putting the scout on the marked tile? It will be an absolute pain if they spawn inbetween our cities. That road being pillaged would really hamper us. He could spawn bust for a while there, otherwise his main use would be an extra unit should things get hairy out east.
Speaking of out east:
Webb survived! 30% odds, one more hit and he would have been dead. He has a promo due next turn and is at 0.2 health. He is the only unit I didn't move - to keep him where he is and wait for the other warrior or to plough on? I think it is best to wait, he is of little deterrent use at that health. He can sit and heal a bit for 2 turns getting a (combat 1?) promo and then they can both head out there together.
Messi has uncovered more Whales. Also note GJ has already played this turn - he moved he scout onto the tile marked 2 (did it always have a forest on it? I swear that has just grown) That forest could be a bit awkward for us. If he sees us coming with warriors and declares we could lose one to the scout. Didn't think about that until after I moved. I think Messi should move SW, then onto that PH tile. Whilst we will not get to meet whoever else is here, it means we can move onto that tile unannounced, and if he declares on us then his scout will be teleported off, not ours... What do you say to that?
As for others on 2 city, I know HAK GJ plako and Gawdzek are at 2. Probably a few more also.

I agree with using the scout for defogging, at least until we can get a galley out to make him scout other places (not in a long time I know). Combat 1 is probably best for Webb, but he'll need to rest to be somehow useful. Messi should definitely go SW, we've been having an unofficial turn split where we play after him, dunno if it's just a coincidence but I don't want to give him a chance to lock us in. Also your last screenshot doesn't show because of a typo (it should end with [/screenshot] not [/screebshot]).
I pressed enter BTW, dunno if you forgot or had a reason to delay it but we were amongst the last to play.

Sorry I did forget last turn to end the turn.
I started the 2 workers chopping before I noticed that you had half played the turn? Sorry if you were gonna suggest something else for them to do. I swapped the cap to a settler and the lake tile. Settler in 10, hindu in 4, still not gone. Capital is making 10 fhpt, so one chop will bring it down to 8, then it can be whipped with 3 to go so being built in 6 turns. I think that is pretty respectable. So he will be born EOT 41. I calculate it will take 5 turns for him to make it to the PH site so we can settle there turn 48. No way of getting that quicker unfortunately. (this is using our current roads and one more on the forest being chopped outside MCG)
Because everything had been moved I ended the turn. The 3rd worker will be out after that chop is completed.
For next turn, the 2 warriors should continue to GJ lands, Messi onto the PH forested tile and lets see what happens eh?

I checked in last night but I'd rather not move the workers right before sleep, last time I did something like that I moved the warrior away from the worker. If we do get the PH I suppose it's going to be building only military till GJ is no longer a threat ?

Yeah I guess so. But we would need a culture building there first, or get really lucky with religion spread. We should be fairly safe there until he can hook a resource, on a hill with a few warriors. Let's hope we can hit horses I guess! We should be able to see when he get something though as we have him well scouted.
