I'm updating every turn, believe it or not. Odd various delays, etc, etc. Dazed is capturing my trading cities. frown I'm top power now, though...

Next turn, every single French city will be under threat. I'm not sure if I'm going to convert any of them, but it should keep Pin in a nicely defensive huddle. I don't actually expect to make any hay outside of his capital, but three chariots and the omnipresent threat of the great general axe still keep Pin honest here. My chariot pair will move 1S next turn and be joined by the GG axe; that forks into Dorter via woodie-jungle-running.

North of Peel Godred, now, is much more interesting. Zaland is well covered by the classic axe/spear, and so ought to be able to hold from chariot strikes, but Peel just launched a galley that will be loaded with an axe pair, so I think I'm going to have a very good multi-axis threat coming down the pipe here. My hope is between one or the other, I'll be able to gank at least something the turn after next.

I should at least force Pin to make some defensive whips. Currency is definitely getting started in two turns with the capital's library up and running. Need to get a move on here; Ichabod is going to run away with this if I delay much longer.

Well it is easy to assume as he has moved a stack into Pind land that all the possible units are in the stack, so Pind might gamble that there are no units in the galley, and he definitely cannot be sure what unit types are in there. Looks like he is pretty stretched there.

You're pretty unlucky that his copper is not to the north of his city. I doubt that was thought of in the mapmaking process and if it were there he would have been down to archers only since the start of the war.

If this is a full court press you're about three seconds from him finding the weak defender, throwing a long pass over the top down court, breaking the press, and getting an easy basket.

Hey, your capital isn't guarded by the ceremonial first warrior, is it? wink (The civ mechanics problem would be figuring out how to throw the long pass with ancient age units and their limited mobility. More modern era have commando promotions available for the job).

Played: Pitboss 18 - Kublai Khan of Germany Somalia | Pitboss 11 - De Gaulle of Byzantium | Pitboss 8 - Churchill of Portugal | PB7 - Mao of Native America | PBEM29 Greens - Mao of Babylon

Pin's solution: Keep calm, finish archer/horse archer/horse archer in the cities under threat. Then do nothing else.

I maneuver, set fire to horses, and likewise do nothing. Fun times, eh?

Ichabod is first in all non-soldier categories.

but you're not so far behind, eh?

why did you unload the axes this turn, instead of keeping them on the boat until they could join the Warlord stack?
