I'm not convinced Dtay and victim belong in the same sentence, barring a dogpile. I suppose you have beaten him in previous games, but were any of those profitable wars? Or mano y mano, even?

15 books based on only 12 TV episodes? Wow, there's gotta be a whole lot of padding in some of the books (especially the ones that are based on only part of an episode).

The news this turn comes from HAK, bless his soul, giving yet another map trade. We've located Gawdzak's Zulu and Furungy's Vikings at last; each is on a smaller subcontinent east of Seas World.
I'm impressed (as usual) with Gawdzak's game thus far. He's got the GLH and is first to Code of Laws (Org/Imp traits), so lots of economic clout backing a good solid expansion. He's our rival in the world gems/dyes market, looks like. Unfortunately for him, he's got to leave the island to win, and Lost told us just how hard that can be. Even moreso when your nearest vector is Gavagai (AKA Mackoti's Empire South). No clue what his big plan is but his little plans will probably see us clashing in the Pacific.
Cue a MJW theory of Gawdzak being a smurf. The Illuminati communicated the truth in a hidden code!
Furungy is doing...less well. If Gawdzak is in Lost, Furungy is in Gilligan's Island. His wide, weak empire is on kind of meh land and to the west GermanBorche is already encroaching (three cities already, that's a good foothold). Things do not look great for our little Viking buddies here.
Mary Ann > Ginger, and if you say otherwise you're insane and probably call Jennifer Lawrence “hot” too...
A final note, this means that when looking near-west for desirable victims with a fine-toothed comb:

Wow, that's a lot of info. Can you tell how far Gawdzak and Furungy are from us? Island nation, and Island nation with strong incentive to make everything coastal, both sound like good East Indiamen targets to me...assuming logistics and maintenance costs are controllable.

Those civs are both a long distance away to have to project your power for gains when both Dtay and plako (i.e., likely power counterweights) are right next door and will certainly demand attention at some point.

Of course Jennifer Lawrence is hot; she's the Girl on Fire.
Sorry, it was there.

I'm a glass half-full kind of guy, so I feel I have to point out that looks like a huge area, loaded with islands. Maybe that's 30 tiles from our capital to their capital, and maybe we won't ever be able to own their homeland. It's still a lot of future Dike cities, even if we only get halfway to Zulu. Then when we get to EI, we ought to be able to push a little further.
