The delay is mostly on me. Sent the turn ahead on the 12th. Er, well, while that's one hell of a delay, that also means it's taken more than 48 hours to get over here (still no sign).
Look, folks, I'm not a delusional fool here, I know very well that Ichabod is winning, by a lot. I just am not quite ready to call it yet; let me fire a chain of MoM golden ages, eat France, and watch how Ichabod's inevitable conquest attempt goes before I completely throw in the towel.
It's frustrating, though, because, A. I don't want to chain people not having any fun but, B. it really wouldn't be fair to Ichabod to call this a draw right now.
Am I being unreasonable, here?

I don't think so. Maybe post something similar in the tech thread.

I'm behind, but I have a decent analogy...I was just about this behind on turn 150 of PBEM 34s.

Only 48 hours??? Why so impatient? I haven't seen a PBEM59 save in over 3 weeks.

Oh hey, it's the weekly turn. I always forgot basically everything that has gone before, but the gist is the same every week: Second place, and very definitively so.
But first in the hearts of my people.
Power is still going up up up; looks like Ichabod was sensible and bravely ran away, so right now we have a cold war with England and a cold-but-hopefully-soon-hot war with France, and general neutrality with Egypt. (Sorry China, feel bad for you). Finally, after waaaaay too long a wait, we also have a Great Prophet, just in time for CS and HR swaps. Oh this golden age shall be long and glorious.
North-south empire connection incoming!
...but ultimately, it's all for naught unless we can cheaply a quickly integrate France into the Kingdom of Sodor. So let's do that, eh? Moving to staging tile next turn, moving in to the blue the turn after. Let's make such an end, boys.
Think you got enough cats, man?

Are you bringing a couple more actual hitters? The three trailing horchers just about make it presentable. I wish you had a spear tho. (French horses or not)

What? Another turn? For all that I launched a golden age and moved a doom-force to a staging point, sure wasn't much going on this turn. Up to 70% more than Ichabod in power.
Please oh please let this work.
