True, 2 hammer for the city with low base production makes sense. We will need university there soon and it is about 1/6 of its base production.

Any objections against shrine? My conclusion is that we need to prepare to war but need to do it sneaky and carefully without rushing golden age to which we are not ready yet. There is big risk that dtay will get rifles before we manage to make him much harm, but not sure that it is better to throw everything on him now and may be warn him too early.

What units you have in mind for upgrading?

We have 3 triremes. Axes to maces, spears to pikes? And finally we have about 10 chars. When attacking it can become important.

I started making prebuilds everywhere. Dtay is still on pacifism and will not be making much in numbers, but once we start completing units we will get 1 unit turn for like 7-8 turns in a row with golden age. I am trying to say that each unit can be decisive.

But we now I am almost convinced that we need Engineering or those preparations will lose sense.

I see 3 possibilities to attack.

From the main direction we move our slow group consist of different types of units.
Beforehand we load something in carracks. I think it is something like 5 knights and 5 maces (2 city raiders).

I am currently thinking about putting all chariots at the Point Two. Sea stack might be not enought to take city, though he will be very busy. But it must be enough to kill some defenders and severe damage others. This is the best job chariots can do at this stage of the game. Good if he decides to leave city and attack them. Good if it makes him pull something from the main group.

The alternative job for chariot is to minimize collaterial damage. In the main group.

Knights are moving with main group. Knights have chance to kill any attacker even if they are significantly wounded. But of course if dtay suddenly gets enough catapults he will be able to break it down. But personally I think and I hope that he will lose focus and will have not enough of everything, some catapults but not enough to pass through hill defense bonus, some knights but not enough to make it reasonable to attack us.

I havent calculated hammers but I am aiming to the following numbers:
- 5-6 trebutchets
- 6 catapults
- 12-13 pikes (6-7 upgrades)
- 3-4 longbows
- 5 maces (1-2 upgrades)
- 3-4 crossbows
- 25 knights

Some information abot dtay for examination.
He has researched Drama and put Literature. It means that he will tech Music too and probably will not let us take any tile with culture. I also cant estimate how much overflow in science is he making. Though he is making some gold, so I think he must be at about 50%. 7300 beakers is between him and Rifling. Possibly he can get it in time, but I hope he wont get Nationalism too and wont be able to stop us.

He can also be growing GP for 3rd golden age.

He is chopping forest hill in front of Wunderbar. Worker is guarded by Mace, LB and spear. And we cant get this tile by culture in time.
