If he does, his empire is comically stretched out, very vulnerable to the Sirian Badass Doctrine (see: PB13, PB18 ). Lol, you've probably been on the wrong side of that arrangement enough lately, no? Actually I would argue that sirian doctrine is alive and well, but different from Badass doctrine. Sirian is what commodore used in pb13, erasing your coastal holdings one tile at a time. Badass doctrine (pb13 edition) is less about conquering and more about opportunism. I guess it's the old "dagger or sledge" comparison: sirian is a sledge, crushing everything before it eventually. Badass is a dagger, happy to conquer, but also happy to dance around waiting for opportunities like burning ichabod's capital with his.navy inside!
Great report! [/shameless egotism]

This report opens with a dissertation on the terrorists of the east, 2DreyO.
The most impressive thing about 2DreyO is their massive MFG, nearly matching me despite my golden age. However, my MFG fell by less than I was expecting post golden age (shifting a lot of specialists to workshops helped), so I'm not really that far behind them Using this, they're matching me in power buildup, which is roughly in line with expectations/a good sign. I can't let them pull away, but not going for the kill right now means I don't need to egregiously outpace them or anything Commodore is a bit uncomfortably higher than me, almost assuredly because of the Plako conflicts. Hopefully that doesn't turn south. I'll try to close the gap. And while we may be close in production, they've managed that production via lots of workshops/watermills, where I have tons of towns. Tech-wise I should keep pulling further away, town-land! I really would have expected 2DreyO to have settled this city in the south by now. Like, good land this is not, but Fin coast + clams alone has been enough for me to greedily gobble up a city spot, and this place has deer + iron + forests besides that. Should have been settled 50 turns ago. Random other observations: at least Leo is in the top city section, despite being wonderless. Leo is pretty good, but no Ottowa (I guess commodore can't read this ) Pacifism right now is costing me about as much as any other civic. It'll become more expensive over the next 20 turns, and then I a golden age will swap me out of it into end game civics (probably not until the tail end of said golden age) Civics/tech plan is coming into focus. 3 person golden age arrives in ~20 turns. In that timeframe (+the 7 turns of golden age research) I should be able to research lit, drama -> music, gunpowder->rifling, compass->optics->astronomy, chemistry, nationalism->constitution->democracy, switching into US/nationhood/<caste-or-serf>/theocracy. Caste of serf will be determined off of counting up hammer gains for each, which I have no done. If it is at all close I'll go caste, infinite specialist slots is way better than better workers. Since I have no need of democracy until the golden age, I'm getting the primary "protect myself" techs before it. Chemsitry+astro for frigates (including c1 frigates, not sure I ever mentioned it but all my triremes are auto c1 cause of an event, so upgrades will happen sometime). And rifling for uhh, rifles. And while recent experiences show rifles don't exactly make one immune to knights and say, massive amounts of CKNs, no one's denying they're pretty helpful. It looks like there will be no state property this game then, but thems the breaks. Maybe the 4th golden age happens if I get the communism great spy + physics GS and the like. We'll see. And even then they might be better spent bulbing. And then, we will examine our military targets. I do not know who will be most vulnerable. My suspicion is Furungy will be ripe for the taking (in fact, we might hit him in the middle of that 20 turn wait for the golden age). But then, 2DreyO also have earned special consideration because I 0% trust them to not attack me in a perceived moment of vulnerability. Current demos Ending on a whimsical note, here are some shots of the nice islands Sagitta, the far western production center, destined to be the shipyard of the Sunset Sea And Auriga, site of much seafood. Kind of considering making this the national epic city, though I don't like the NE city being so vulnerable to boating
Fear cuts deeper than swords.
Auriga has...two fish and a clam? Plus nice workshop-land means decent speed. What are the other candidates like?
Erebus in the Balance - a FFH Modmod based around balancing and polishing FFH for streamlined competitive play.

Yeah sorry if that was unclear, I meant in the 20 turns until GA + 7 turns of GA need to get those techs.
Ideally I wouldn't declare the golden age immediately, but instead wait to grab democracy so I can have 8 turns of US+Golden Age deliciousness, but I'm going to compromise on that if I feel I need drafting ASAP. The real ideal scenario is get democracy, start GA, and make it to communism in the next 7 turns to shift to state property at the end of the golden age. But not willing to count on that.
