I went to look at dtay's border city with Commodore and there were 3 LBs, 3 archers, 3 spears, 1 axe and 1 mace. Not bad of a garrison, but this city is in such a position, that it is dtay's only border city with Commodore, its like a chokepoint, so he might have bigger garrison than in each city on our own border.

We need to make him worry at least and slave some stuff before Rifles

Commodore just had a frenzy of whipping; any idea whether he's setting up to attack dtay or plako? (or did someone declare on him?)

Might be anything. From the look of it, I dont think his border with dtay is heavily militarized.

This is what Adrien's new holdings look like. Why we were supposed to fight the top civ to only eventually raze one or two cities at huge price, while we can easily have those lush lands?

I used to play "bring down the top dog" game in each pitboss I played here where I had the opportunity, and it did not turned out well for me There will be always opportunists and conformists who prefer to turtle to second or third or fourth or whatever place and be happy with it, while my units die like a fistful of Spartans under the wrath of Xerxes

I think we can have enough units to defend from Dtay and still capture REM/Adrien's holdings on this middle earth.
