PBEM2 - Email and Technical Issues

I see your PM, Krill. I was out late at a hockey game tonight so I'll do this tomorrow. I do not intend to edit and balance the map, I'll roll one that has worldwide coastal contact but leave it otherwise unedited.

It's not Unrestricted Leaders, right? The random civ picks will be random of a normal leader-civ combo?

"All teams to have contact with workboats and warriors." -- does this parse as "all teams have warriors" or "all teams have contact with ... warriors" ?

Correct, restricted leaders only.

I think that just means contact via land or Galley, not that everyone must have a Warrior to start.

Steps (might not be 100% accurate but they should be close enough ) ...

• start game as per described above in single player mode
  
• you will need to get the civs correct, order of play, game options, map type, etc, etc correct
  
• enter WB and do your validation checks
  
• when you are happy with everything - save as WB save 'RB_PBEM_2'
  
• back to main menu
  
• multiplayer, pbem, new scenario, select 'RB_PBEM_2'
  
• typical 'custom game' style start with some options greyed out
  
• everything should be ready to go, but check it anyway
  
• name of game is 'RB_PBEM_2'
  
• make sure you put in an admin password and that you don't forget it - we might need it (might consider pm'ing it to ainwood and telling her that it is an admin password for this game)
  
• start game - it will ask for password - put in something silly - '1111'?
  
• save game, email to first player telling them the password

First player should play from the save provided using the password provided. They can change the password from the menu (player options if I remember correctly).

I've added RB_PBEM_2 to the pbem tracking system. Players should join the game and enter their civ details. Don't worry about the turn order - I need all 6 players entered before I can properly update it.

oh - I take it back. It is only available to me. I only use this feature about once every 6 months. I've put Alexander down as a place holder for Yaz.
