WW35: Not Another TPS Report [Game Thread]

I'm in a similar position irl as AdrienIer, will try to be more active from now on.

Apart from previously mentioned Ichabod/Q/Meiz/zakalwe, I'm leaning on the side of townie for Jowy now. His day 1 posts were lacking imo, but his play has improved as the game goes on so I'm feeling good about him for now. I'd still like him to explain why he thinks me Adrien and Gaz are town though!

Ichabod has made good cases and looks to be actively hunting scum (even though he voted for me cry). I tend to agree with his case on dtay; his posts have been reasonable, understandable but not townie. I don't think that Lewwyn/novice indirectly defending him means much though, it reads more like an attack on Ichabod than defending dtay.

I'll reread day 2 and post deeper thoughts after lunch.

I'm not opposed of lynching dtay either. Looking back at his game, he did go for novice & lewwyn based on the meta (throwing away good roles), but ends up picking Qgqq as his top suspect, and disappeared for rest of the day (could be time zone issue though). But looking back, I'm not going to give much town credit for his early votes on confirmed scums.

IMO Ichabod has a good summary on his day one, http://realmsbeyond.net/forums/showthrea...#pid518937

Not today. There is no real evidence for him being a townie and he might try the Roland-way on us but still the 5 I mentioned before are currently higher on my priority-lynch.

@Meiz
Somehow the whole Jkaen vs Jowy reads a lot like usual Jkaen-stubbornness. That Jkaen misses that Jowy was one of those pushing for a Godfather-lynch (which before Matts reveal was a real possibility) fits to that. IIRC scum-jkaen played it less confrontational and less stubbornly.

Sorry about todays lack of participating.

Has Jkaen been scum recently? I went digging earlier today and the latest I found was from 2011, not much use to us.

I get that, and I know he can be stubborn as town. But I think I've recognized Jkaen's town game quite well in the past, and I'm not getting the same vibes this game. He has too narrow view on the game events. It could be explained by him being busy, but I know for a fact how much more cumbersome the game thread is to follow as scum, since you basically need to craft your thoughts. So I think him having hard time keeping up with the thread could be explained by that as well.

Anyways, I think Jkaen & dtay are both good choices for today, so I'm glad seeing the current votes.

Somewhat poor timing to try to get activity out of me,
Really can't do more than occasional phone post. Haven't gotten around to the reread yet either.

Short suspicion now is that I think Ichabod might be SK, I don't buy the gambit of making bad args then saying baiting the "reasonable" response was all ore planned, I think he just forced args and is trying to make the response seem scummy as well. Incidentally, it's easy to respond quickly like that cause I can remember what I've posted much better than the thread as a whole, so didn't require reread. More bad arg, and this one can't possibly be part of a gambit.

I say SK because I don't think ichabods voting pattern and arg-targets make sense for mafia (lew d1 in particular). Also not voting him this moment because I think hunting mafia is more productive atm (though if this is incorrect newb perspective and killing SK right now make sense Lmk)

Re whether I hunted people I recall pressuring lew and novice (teo scum), then pushing qq most of the day. Though the novice one doesn't buy me many points cause scum could plan his claim as a gambit.

I didn't go back to verify it myself, but I found the case on TT from yesterday persuasive, will put my vote there for now. twinkletoes

Sorry for continued lack of new cases, really haven't had the time.

I'm considering voting Dtay for the reasons Gazglum outlined, but even though we've probably got all we will out of Jkaen for a while he just strikes me as far scummier. I believe his lack of time, but his defense, his attack on Jowy, his talk about scum going after him because he zones in...it just doesn't ring true, to me.

His defending the Jowy push by saying it's a day 1 argument because he hasn't had time to read day 2 seems a particularly lazy scum approach. I mean, I know we need to be wary of penalizing solely for time, but even so - he's clearly read some, he's clearly read end of day 1, he knows what the flips were...seems quite lazy, IMO.
