Again, I'd be lurking regardless. So it comes down to you wanting me dead for playing differently. Man, this is a blast from the Bigger past...
Aww I don't want you dead Qg. I'm just dropping the idea for later, if you start looking suspicious and are acting weird. Getting a little bit of discussion on it now makes people aware of the possibility, and in theory, should you be planing on leaning in that direction, it will make it harder for you, and thus easier for us to catch you Besides, as I said, I REALLY wanted to drop that joke :P

And he has an avergae amount of posts, he's not lurking. And he picked Agnes before he got his role. And I don't remember you going after Doctor Saul for smurfing last game, and Commodore is doing it this game too. So your reasoning feels a bit weak.
I'm not sure I agree with the roleplaying; I think he was just saying that Q is giving himself a cover for playing a different style if he wants to. But I do agree Jabbz is reading different to me this game. He was a lot more aggressive, over-defensive towny in the last game, but I'm not getting that here. How's school going for you Jabbz?
Goreripper is Commodore, right?
Remember, I jumped on Saul last game, then had Qg and some others *cough Saul cough* jump all over me, and try to paint me as scum :P Give it time, I'll do something scummy like I usually do, and then I'll revert to your favorite mode. You probably wont like me until then either though. Hell, you didn't even like it when I looked to your dead town self for analysis...

Not exactly rethinking, but even in a role madness game D1 mass claim is far from guaranteed to out scum; it's probably better than not doing a mass claim, though it means frontloading a lot of risk onto the selection of who should claim first. I wouldn't go so far as to say that scum would welcome it either, since it's entirely possible they get one or more of their members caught out.
I suppose if we don't have anything to go on soon (not feeling strongly about Agnes or novice as scum), having one or two people claim wouldn't be a terrible idea. Looking back over your posts you didn't quite argue for a mass claim today. I personally would not prefer a meta where Day 1 claims are expected to happen. In this case where we have a light Day 1 it might be a good idea.
Except, now I'm not sure where to place my vote. Lewwyn, your idea for Day 1 is interesting, but "let's discuss less" is not the towniest of proposals.

I still don't get why this is. What are they losing? The ability to gambit? With roleseers or something along those lines likely, why would they want to gambit?
Delaying claiming is of course useful for maintaining flexibility. But that's not the point. The point is that it's uncomfortable for scum to do a claim without having seen any townie claim, how they claimed, and how that claim was received. That's just basic psychology. I still think you not seeing this feels insincere.
To be clear, I'm not arguing for a mass claim. I'm happy not to do that, because it's lame. I just pointed out a questionable statement by you.

I haven't been monitoring your forum activity, but at any rate, how is that relevant to my vote? I'm criticizing the content of your posts, not their frequency.

And lo, from beyond the horizon appears a train, and it's preparing to mow down Agnes. I mean seriously though, where the hell did that come from? In 3 pages we went from one prodding/point making vote on Agnes to four votes?

Here's how. Tally as of post 65:
4 votes: Agnes ( Jabbz, novice, Rowain, zakalwe)
2 votes: Jabbz ( Gazglum, pindicator)
1 votes: Gazglum ( Lewwyn)
1 votes: Mattimeo ( dtay)
1 votes: Rowain ( Agnes The Orphan)
1 votes: novice ( Goreripper)
1 votes: Lewwyn ( Fenn)
Voting history:
Can we please have four out of thirteen votes on one player halfway through day one without freaking out?

By the way. I guess Zak touched on this, but Goreripper, you do realize your chain of reasoning here makes no sense?

Which means I side with Agnes.
So novice.
In fact I think you should elaborate. Are you voting me because you have a town read on Agnes? If so, then why? If not, then why, exactly, are you voting me? Is it meant as a pressure vote?

I'm fairly certain I wasn't freaking out, just surprised. I missed the slow escalation, as I was reading in bits and pieces. I just now have to figure if I'm ok staying on a vote that I made just to make people aware of a possible future issue.

Are you sure that's what I was doing? Or was it more likely that I was (successfully) trying to start a conversation.

It's a good thing you have almost a full day to decide whether or not to move your vote. God forbid you accidentally vote for someone who actually gets lynched.

Nice sarcasm Lewwyn. I was simply making a response to Novice's statement, and clarifying I wasn't freaking out, just surprised. Keep making a mountain out of that molehill though. Maybe if you actually looked at why I had a vote on him in the first place, you would understand why I responded to Novice like that. God forbid you actually do that much work right?
