Yep. Got it at about 2 AM this morning, according to my e-mail service.

I am sad that this game isn't moving faster.

Yup.

Who has the save?

This little mini-game isn't so much fun that I want to play it every turn...

Ummm, I got the save in the wee hours of Sunday morning, so it's my fault at the moment (just realize it's only been my fault about half the time so far, even if I'm entirely to blame today...)

Try not to take it too seriously, though- if you had any idea how long I've been waiting for the save in my other multiplayer game (which I finally got just literally earlier this afternoon) you'd think this was a lightning-fast game!

Well, there are more players in the other game, so more opportunities to get stuck.

In this game all of our listed play windows are relatively close together, so the save is almost guaranteed to sit in one person's inbox for 18+ hours until their window comes round. From what I can tell, Qgqqqqq and Kragroth have more flexibility in their play windows than you do, and in turn you have more flexibility in yours than I do. So the save is most likely to sit in either your inbox or my inbox during a 24hr turn. Where it starts being a problem is when it sits in your inbox for ~18hrs and then sits in my inbox for another ~18hrs, turning it from a 24hr turn to a 48hr turn.

Saturday was particularly frustrating to me since you were around and posting during the day (commenting that you received the turn at 2am), but didn't pass the turn on until after my play window, at nearly midnight my time. One of the reasons it did get back to you again "in the wee hours of Sunday morning" was because my sleep pattern is currently screwed by stress over my job (Oil Industry is not a secure career right now) and I got up again after failing to get to sleep.

I also completely understand that playing the turn on a Sunday may not be practical - for every person that has more play time at the weekends, there's someone who has less - but then yesterday (Monday) you again failed to hit my window and it seems it arrived at ~1:30am this morning, meaning you had held it for nearly 48hrs. Now I'm going to hold it for another 18hrs because 8pm is the earliest I can expect to be able to play on a weekday, and suddenly it's taken nearly half a week to get a single turn around.

To my mind, the best guarantee of keeping this game moving at a regular pace is if you can consistently get the turn to me within my play window (still 8-11pm Central), else we're going to get stuck.

I sympathize Dreylin.

One of the reasons my saves have been passed off all over the place is that I currently haven't had regular work (just temp jobs here and there). The stress of months on end of continually applying to jobs and often not even getting a response (and a negative one) back until weeks later after you've followed up on it a couple times can be quite considerable- especially when you've got two of the best degrees money can buy and piles of student debt... That's why I didn't get it to you until 1:30 AM on Tuesday, for instance- I actually couldn't sleep at all Sunday night (although by the time I had an opening for FFH2 it was much too late at night for me to think clearly...) and then on Monday I finally fell asleep in the late afternoon and slept until close to midnight... Heck, I'm thinking of applying to a minimum-wage job at the grocery store just because I know at least they will hire me... (but it would be a terrible use of my Ivy League bachelor's and major research university Master's degrees...)

Anyways, I don't mean to go on too long about that anyways- fear of losing a job can be just as bad or (often) worse- besides, it's partly my fault for sticking in Central Illinois after I graduated (to continue with an application to the military I started before I graduated) instead of moving somewhere with more jobs...

I hope to see that save soon- but will understand if it takes you a while!
