Hi there,

there is a new game claiming to be the heir of Master of Magic.

It is not the first time, the previous ones did not archive the status, someone can close, but still shorter.

In the video you can see the graphic is improved (of course), but the look and feel is similar. Accordingly to the reviews/forums even the fact the game is full of bugs was copied.

Does anyone try it?

Looks good. Always welcome. The fact that looks like MoM is positive.

Cant agree that no games replaced MoM. You can play MoM out of nostalgia but its obsolete considering many games are better right now. The awkward combat system mechanics and the bugs and unbalances of MoM make other games intresting enough.

On the other hand I couldnt replace Moo2.

These wannabe Master of Magic clones have been coming one after the other in recent years. The older ones are forgotten as soon as the new one comes out. I don't think any of them made an impression.

i'd be more interested in hearing example of games that are better. i can't even recall any that is similar enough.

Keep them coming. Really, if anyone honestly knows a game better than Master of Magic (with its latest patch and mod) I can't wait to hear about them. I still don't know any.
No need to stir up argument between our opinions. I just want to know what you guys like more than MOM.

I've been watching this one for awhile. (since the kickstarter)

It's still buggy and needs more time IMO. But it shows more promise then any game I've seen to be a successor for MoM

Age of wonders

i've not played dominions 4 (just 3, but i guess the differences are the same). both games have no detailed map and no city founding. i can't recall how the combat worked. definitely good games, but missing some core features of MoM.

heroes 3

one of my favorite games (with WoG expansion). i've probably played it more than MoM, but it's not similar. there are so many differences that i don't even know where to start. the only common ground is that both have tactical battles in which you can cast spells.

i don't know the others: warlock is steam only (but seems different as well), fallen enchantress is on my wish list and i haven't heard of fall from heaven yet, gonna look that up.
