RBP3 - [SPOILERS] - Team DIM (Mehmed of HRE)

Ilios Wrote:Looks good but a couple of remarks:

- I really don't think it's a good idea to make another scout. I'd rather make a warrior I could upgrade to an axe later on
- On turn 25, I guess you mean you work the Wheat tile (4/1/0), and not the Sheep tile (AH just came in on that turn). Didn't check yet if it affects your plan techwise
- Instead of "gazing wistfully..." wink why not farm the grassland for 1 turn?

- scout decision is "pending" smile (i can hope, right lol) but yeah, changing to a warrior wouldn't change anything from a hammers perspective
- banghead
- i think we'll want cottages on the riverside grasslands so no point farming it

If the barbs stayed in their animal-like forms, I'd say no problem. But once those Warriors and Archers start appearing, the scout will be killed in no time.
A Warrior has good fighting chances against both, once we start getting those woodsman promotions and we stay on forests.

It makes sense to farm at least one of those grassland rivers, because while our food situation is good, it's not great. Once we start slaving, we'll need the farm to quickly grow back. Once Civil Service comes in, we can farm one of those tiles near the lake to irrigate the Wheat, and Cottage/Watermill the farm.
Besides, we have enough grassland rivers for at least 6 cottages even if we farm one of them.

And at least we'll have another workable tile until Pottery comes in.

In any case, after he finishes the mine, the worker will have nothing else to do

before i forget - could we get a shot of the demogrphics? not that i want to do C&D, but it would be useful nevertheless... for now, to see whether others, like us, started landlocked

Nice! and spices as well.

Re Demographics, how can anyone already have 8000 soldier count?

Better end the turn, don't want us to be last again, and it's not like we can do anything else...

I'd say move the scout either NE-NE on the grassland forest, or move W - NW on the hills. It would be protected from attack by the river. Is it me or are those floodplains?

Starting with a warrior helps! Then their techs can add soldier points. It has to be those. I don't remember from Spulla's thread what starting tech's give Soldier Points, and I don't have time right now to look.

Done and done already.

I vote for W - NW onto the hills.
