Novice. He's playing like one of those older guy bores that date one of the swell girls in your class, that overly quiet type of guy that doesn't say anything that's of any use to anyone when they end up speaking. Seriously, first he votes for George Smiley because of influence and because of general lurkiness, which is bad early in the game. Then, he votes Adrien without much of a case. But that last vote for Fenn is the worst of it all. He follows the case made by Zak, which even in his very few posts he adresses a lot of times (Zak, not Zak's case against Fenn), and he votes while Gazglum is gaining traction...

Fenn

And the fact that he tried to justify why he doesn't want to vote for Adrien anymore, but not why he votes for Fenn seems bad too... And when he says the conclusion on Molach by Adrien is wrong, that means he doesn't think Molach is phony, right? In that sense, voting Fenn is even worse...

It's between Novice, Matt and Pindicator for me, right now...

I agree with all of that up until the pindicator part.

Grignr thrusts forth a list, marked up in a hasty scrawl.
We are fools if we refrain from sheathing a foot of blinding steel in the bowels of one of THESE dogs today!

Suddenly a pudgy, dissheveled man wearing a heavy old light brown suit, red checked shirt with a green striped tie, long leather coat, red hat and thick metal-rimmed spectacles burst into the room.
- "Pray God I am not too soon!"
The detective in charge looked up from his notepad.
- "I mean, I know I had an appointment with this man three hours ago, but I swear the hand of god messed with my alarm clock!", the ridiculous-looking Gently continued nervously.
- "Mr. Gently, that appointment was 27 hours ago."
- "Oh. Well, I certainly can't be blamed anyway. The cosmos is conspiring against me."
- "Blamed for what? Your client is alive and well, and there's a criminal hanging by a noose in the corner over there."
Thinking on his feet, Dirk Gently declared confidently:
- "Right! That's what I meant by not showing up too soon. Things tend to go well when I don't interfere."

I had ambitions of keeping up the roleplay throughout this game, but I can see that's not realistic.

Let me address the case against me first, it's a pretty simple case really. Not to say that it's bad, it is what it is.

Fenn was my second choice, AdrienIer had just made a content-based case as he promised, so I consolidated onto Fenn. Here was the case on Fenn:

Yeah I think Fenn is a decent lynch and also an influential one. I haven't seen anything to push me off my AdrienIer hunch though. I'd be happy with either lynch I suppose.

Fenn was a good case for day 1, he did nothing towny until he showed up just before the deadline and ninja lynched a schemer. In hindsight pushing Fenn might look bad, but I think it was a good lynch at the time. AdrienIer actually managed to make a (the only?) case on day one that was based on someone contradicting themselves.* So I was quite impressed with that actually (and I don't agree with Zak that the contradiction is constructed), but I had a strong town lean on Molach based on tone. Even stronger today given Gazglum's flip.
* While I'm certainly not one to argue with results, all the Gazglum votes seemed to be based more on feel than any actual evidence.

So you're right Ichabod, I didn't think Molach was phony (i.e. scum). But I don't see why that makes voting Fenn bad?

(April 15th, 2015, 04:18)zakalwe Wrote: I might be on board with lynching Novice as things stand currently. Hopefully he will kick into gear at some point and convince us that someone else makes a better lynch.

Well, I'll try. Also, in a wonderful case of truth imitating clichés, I have an extremely powerful role and I can't use it until night 3.

As for who to lynch that doesn't wear a ridiculous red hat, Grignr has the right starting point.
I have to run.
