New turn is up:
RBP3 - [SPOILERS] - Team DIM (Mehmed of HRE)

Over 4000 Land tiles for our game. I've tested with a Lakes map, huge size, low sealevel, and I only get around 3800 tiles.
Is the Lakes map smaller than a Pangaea or other type map, perhaps? Anyone know? Lurkers? (Do we have any of those or are they all playing in this game?!)
Well, I'm still here, and I know from the no players thread that there are more. But there are 17 spoiler threads, and a lot of inter-teammate discussion going on. So thanks for the screenshots!
No comment on things related to the map and map settings.
I have to run.

I'm gonna be in bed soon so have fun planning while I sleep. I'm glad PB2 is getting exciting now while things are still pretty slow for us. Feel free to play the turn while I'm away from the computer. I'm fine with moving the scout anywhere really.
I was going to post a big rant here about the reality show that PB2 has become, but I thought better of it...
Turn hasn't rolled over yet. I would like to start moving counter-clock wise, but I'm scared a big bad bear is hiding on a tile next to the hill (W-SW) I'd like us to move... dazedroyalty Wrote:Is the Lakes map smaller than a Pangaea or other type map, perhaps? (Do we have any of those or are they all playing in this game?!) hey dazed, this is a guide to map settings that'll come in useful as we find out more about our surroundings: http://www.civfanatics.com/civ4/referenc....php#lakes edited to say: yeah, the answer to the question is yes, lakes is smaller by quite a distance. standard pangea has 2560 tiles, lakes 1664 scout move - if his primary purpose is to meet other civs, then probably don't have him circle around counter-clockwise, just send him W-W and keep heading away from the capital along safe terrain. we can use the first warrior to check out our surroundings while keeping a second in reserve in case one of neighbours wants to get frisky... |
