Actually, International Law forbids hacking or stealing personal information of any sort. Such laws are (in theory) enforced by a number of treaties and international law-enforcement agencies specifically focused on preventing hacking, identity theft, and cyberterrorism...

In practice, these laws are only enforceable in North America, Western Europe, Australia, South Africa, and certain parts of Asia (such as Singapore)- where local law enforcement acts to enforce these laws regardless of the country of the victim or hacker (rather than areas like Russia, Serbia, and certain parts of China where local law enforcement turns a blind eye to electronic crimes against foreigners...) But I doubt any of our players live outside of these areas...

Never mind that bit about playing a turn tonight.

The turn I received from Kragroth this morning (at 5:30 AM) was NOT derived from the turn I sent out yesterday.

Unit positions were different, for instance. But beyond that, it appears Old Lion made some *MAJOR* mistakes with the turn, most of which I cannot reveal without spoiling things. Mistakes that I did not make myself in the turn I played Friday (just a couple hours after you guys hacked my password!) and tried to send out then (and sent again Saturday when I realized the save failed to send Friday night...)

Please replay from the save I sent the tracker on April 25th at 4:11 PM. It would NOT be fair to ask me to play with Old Lion's mistakes...

Also, Old Lion, you really need to tell me if you play a turn for me, so that I know what's going on- and provide information on what happened during that turn so I can play turns derived from it in those cases where I gave you permission to play for me... (NOT the case with this last one- I was quite clear on Friday that I would be playing the turn and sending it out, as I indeed did earlier that night before even posting here...)

I want to reiterate, the mistakes Old Lion or whoever made playing my turn were MAJOR- and clear products of simple carelessness rather than differing opinions of strategy or such (for example, failing to reassign a newly-grown citizen from one tile to a clearly superior tile...)

Please re-play Turn 20, from the save I am going to send the tracker AGAIN now tonight, to make sure you guys know which one to play. MY play window tomorrow will be from 9:30 PM (I get off work at 9- and have to commute home) to 11 PM tomorrow. So I'll tell Old Lion *exactly* what I want him to do with the save, and ask him to play a turn as soon as he gets it tomorrow- that way we can hopefully squeeze in two turn tomorrow.

Wrong thread!

PLEASE tell me you didn't see that...

I played and sent turn 22 earlier tonight.

I object to replaying turn 20 again. I object to replaying turn 21 again. I object to replaying turn 22 again.

This isn't fair either: (spoilered for size)

Furthermore, I also object to your public criticism of Old Lion. It's despicable. You seem to be completely clueless to the fact that Old Lion is doing you(and the rest of us) a favor. You have been utterly incapable of playing turns promptly in this game, and Old Lion generously agreed to help out. He doesn't deserve to be treated the way you are treating him.

Could we possibly just continue on with Kragroth/Northstar playing this iteration of t22? (the original iteration)

After collating feedback from the other players.

North,

We do not want to redo the last 3 turns and are not going to. I just sent Turn 22 to you. If mistakes were made, apologies, they happen. What you need to understand is, if that the mistakes won't matter if the game doesn't continue.

Let me also state that the good save turnaround these past 2 days only happened because Old Lion played the turns! Seeing your message last night, you missed your window again! So apparently Old Lion playing the turn was a good thing because we would be behind again if he waited!

I told you earlier North that I wanted Old Lion to play turns when you couldn't, this still assumes that the majority of the time, you are playing your turns on time. To this day this is still false. No one in this game wants to tolerate a perpetual every other day a save or worse.

Here's what I propose: we do another trial period of one week where Old Lion will wait to play the save until you miss your play window. If you can't consistently get to the turn in your play window after a week, then we switch to a format of first come first played for the save. (And by the way, when one of you email the save on, you should CC each other to let each other know that the turn was played).

Can you explain exactly what you mean by the bolded statement?

Well, I have a new save I can play. Can I have any hint of how long I'm supposed to wait before playing ?

I know I may make decision that are not as enormously skilled as Northstar's, but for my defense I'd say if I don't play, he wil never have a chance to win because the game will die out.
That said, I'll try to comment in the thread when I play.

Everybody : don't worry, I'm not being hurt by any comment, I have a thick skin and I know I have room for improvement anyway.

Then DON'T CRACK MY PASSWORD. Don't skip me. If you crack my password and then hand off my save to Old Lion and he makes completely careless mistakes with it, you've dug yourself into the situation...

If that is the latest info (I don't see how it could be, as even now it's been less than 36 hours since Kragroth sent me Turn 22), THAT is due PURELY to my refusal to play the branch of the save based on cracking my password and handing the save to Old Lion, who made some MAJOR careless mistakes with it... We would have had a less than 16 hour turnaround from when Kragroth send me the save at 5:30 AM yesterday if you guys hadn't cracked my password and Old Lion hadn't screwed up the save... (not unreasonable when somebody sends you the save in the wee hours of the morning and your play-window is in the late evening)

I said Old Lion made some careless mistakes, which he did. I haven't criticized him as a player- he seems to be one of the kindest, most cooperative players on the forums. He just messed up the turn he played- badly...

Please re-play Turn 21 (NOT Turn 20- I said the wrong number before-, likely as I was tired, upset, and not thinking straight- you only need to replay the Turn 21 as you used a branch based off the wrong Turn 20). I've been sick today (sore throat, and as it turns out when I looked in the mirror some mild oral thrush- I guess it wasn't strep throat after all...) and could have easily played 3 turns or more today if you guys had just complied with my requests...

I've only received Turn 22 from Kragroth (not Turn 23), so, once again, you'll only be replaying a single turn vs what would happen otherwise
