[SPOILERS]Specialist of Everything: JC of the Zulu

Airlifting is great but so tedious if youre moving.an amry. I always wished the rally point command would convince the ai to auto airlift the dude to his destination continent... right up there with auto-recon missions in things the designers got lazy and skipped.

Agreed about the tedious part, it takes me around an hour to play a turn now. Although considering how derpy the automated workers are, I wouldn't trust the ai to airlift my troops. lol

I swear, in SP games I play, all my automated workers go straight to the enemy border to get killed...

An hour? I'd take that in a heartbeat! The trick to automated workers in SP going to the border is to kill all of your enemies, all of the time, constantly. No enemy, no dead workers. Glad I could sort that for you. neenerneener

Well I don't have as much willpower as some of you guys so an hour is a lot for me. wink

Starting another war next turn. mischief

Turn 255

Attacked Dtay, taking three cities, including Dtay's NE city, Auriga.

Apparently I messed up and the bombers in MonoPoly couldn't bomb Auriga, the city was on a hill so I lost 3 units taking the city. The bomber did good work for the other two cities.

I'm quite worried about a dogpile from Gavagai and GJ but what I saw this turn alleviated my concerns somewhat:

2metra has been spending quite a bit of time playing lately, seemed to be planning something. I'm now pretty sure he's planning to attack GJ. Hopefully this will distract GJ enough, and that 2metra doesn't turn back after he saw that I have attack Dtay to attack Dtay himself.

Anyways the naval arms race between me,GJ and Gavagai is real:

Gavagai's Navy:

GJ's Navy:

And those are just ships that I can see.

My own:

I'm still top power with almost 10mil soldier points.

Rolled the turn and got the BEST EVENT EVER:

GG you noobs with wooden carrier decks. twirl

Got 2 more cities. Forgot to take screenshots because of a headache today. I'm going to capture one more city and then offer peace. Gavagai and GJ is having a Fish for Fish deal which makes me unease. If Dtay refuse peace then I will just capture/raze more of his coastal cities until he does.

Switched tech to Rocketry for now, I might need SAM infantries. Attack submarine seems like a better deal than a destroyer. Guided missile may also come in handy, because I can even build them in my crappy filler cities to load them into submarines.

Good thread. thumbsup Count me as a mild skeptic of non-Agg Zulu as well, but you've made them hum nicely it looks like...sure that -70% cost for all those crappy iceplex cities is helping.

What do you think of your odds now? How do you view the game's geopolitics shaking out?
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.

The idea is that strong individual pieces without synergy will do just as well if not better than mediocre pieces with synergy. I've never regretted my pick at all in this game. Imagine if I went AGG for this game, it would've been terrible with my isolated start.

I don't think my odds are great at the moment. I have the feeling that Gavagai will beat me to the Internet, since he managed to build the 3 Gorges Dam in 7 turns, he could probably build it in the same time frame since 3GD is 1750 hammers and Internet is 2000 hammer, however +50% with copper. Gavagai is already researching faster than me and his production is way better. I have the tech lead but KTB and tech stealing makes this irrelevant.

I know there's been some debate about the Espionage economy in the mod thread, I won't go into details right now but I think it's stupid and totally not fun to play against.

I think GJ will eventually throw himself at someone, he's been building units none-stop lately, crippling his research rate. I saw GJ posting in the Strategy/Tactics section at CivFanatics asking for advices on a space race. As things stands right now, I don't see how GJ will beat Gavagai in the space race. If GJ wants to dogpile Gavagai again, I have no intentions on joining in because I just don't trust GJ to make the right moves and not peacing out at the wrong time because of my earlier experiences in this game. smoke

Maybe Plako will win anyways since all three of us will be too busy dealing with each other?

No screenshots, because I'm lazy, but if there's anything anyone wants to see, ask and I will post them.

Anyways, GG Commodore!
