Nice demos! The GNP lead looks great.

I don't think that Taj is out of reach yet. THH has two wars to focus on, he might get distracted.

I agree Taj is not out of reach. It is doable. The main question is whether get greedy and go for banking first or not. I am more likely to wait. Also demos look good now but won't when THH's conquests start getting out of unrest.

Can you post some pictures of our land next time you get a chance? New power and food graphs would also be interesting.

I'm impressed THH can continue pressing on while at war on two fronts. He must know there is a risk of you jumping in, too. It looks like his power has gone down a little since the war started, but he's still way ahead of Miguel and Mardoc.

I did check graphs when I played the turn and saw that THH has top rival production . But his WW must be bad by now. Mardoc has 388k power so not much improvement.

Oh the things I could have done better.
Byblos was definitely founded in the wrong spot. Should have been 1W of rice and that could have been another 16H city and I could have added another city behind it working corn and coast/cottages for some more commerce. The reason why I rushed it was to time the gold hookup with the capital and other cities pop increase, but there is the 2nd mistake, which was delaying this GA. I could have had the capital work 2 scientists while stuck at happy 7 and with the MOM GPP, gotten another GP to start the early GA, which I could have used to build forges faster and switch to HR+Vassalage w/o the anarchy turn.

Honestly I don't remember if I had the city building wealth or starting the galley after all. Also I was going to starve it for a GP, but there is no need after mercantilism. During the 2 GA, I should be able to get a GP from the cap and the next city. If I don't get Taj, game is hopeless.


I don't know why I had this city work an engineer last turn, I should have kept it at 2 priests because during 18T of GA and another specialist, I can definitely get another GP here.


This city can work another farm instead of tundra hill when GA starts.


Wow this city definitely needs infrastructure. Too bad I have to keep pumping knights for now.


















Ok missionary is already next to city to spread religion so I can 1T Taj with 7 chops. in fact I should just spread it now before another religion spreads and lowers conversion chance to 90%. Would also help with upkeep. After Taj, definitely building missionaries.








Can I also discuss how frustrating the game has been. Out of 4 players, 1 of them researched the wrong side of the tech tree and now basically lost all his mainland cities. Miguelito's team seems to be beelining MT, but how much can they accomplish with what should be 5 cities soon. Would have been nice if Mardoc put as much effort into this THH war as he did when he attacked me.

BTW THH is almost up to 900 gold. I think he is actually spending a lot of hammers on wealth. My guess is that he is waiting on his 2nd GA to dump it?
