Survivor Spinoff- The Real Pangaea Edition

Turn 31:

Christianity making two more spreads in the near vicinity. Hopefully everyone won't end up sharing the same religion and being all happy happy with each other.

Turn 32:

France got slavery. They are pretty much out of land (though they could settle a city where the Aztec archer is), but their land is good, lets see if they can use it to claim more via war.

Inca settles their 3rd city. By going north twice, they now have a chance to border someone besides Portugal.

Turn 33:

America also gets a Christianity spread. They'll need the culture, Barcelona is starting to secure away a lot of BFC tiles.

Also note that now everyone and their brother is reaching BW/Slavery

China nabs their 3rd city up against the Khmer's 2nd.

Germany is the first to hit a 4th city, settling on top of their horses.

Turn 34:

Nothing of particular note this turn, here's a pic of some of the Eastern European civs who have run out of room to flex their wings already.

Turn 35:

Mongolia settles a StrategicTM city in the middle of the Kinda-Gobi Desert. 2 Oasis tiles, 3 desert hills, and 3 plains tiles. At least it will make a good point to defend from Persia coming up their way?

World Overview:

Wonder Tracker:

The Great Wall:
  • Babylon: 7 turns
  • Carthage: 8 turns

I'm trying to make sure i capture all the significant events, but that could lead to me ignoring some areas for a while. If you have any civs/areas you want extra pictures of, let me know and I'll capture them.

Saladin should be fine, culturally. Arabian Maddrassae and his temple-spam tend to make him fine on the culture front.

And yeah, as I said on chat, give Ethiopia a couple grass hill BrickDeer in place of those lakefish, AI can't figure out freshwater.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.

Turn 36:

Rome gets a Christianity spread. At this time it's spread to 7 civs now I think? We're gonna either need Hinduism to spread somewhere besides India, or get the Monotheism religion out somewhere (preferably in the Europeish area).

Carthage has finally finished a settler for their 3rd city as well, which I'm hovering over in Utica.

Turn 37:

Of course as soon as I remark about other religions....

Mali founds Islam, and....

Hinduism spreads to Arabia.

I tried hooking up Ethopia's fish since they never will, but they wouldn't even work it. So since lake fish was the only food for Ethopia's and Arabia's capitals, and every other civ has their capital foods hooked up, I replaced their fish with grass corn, for the same food output. You can see those here.

Turn 38:

Celts settle their 4th, claiming the end of Norway before England can move towards it.

Aztecs settle their 4th at the foot of the Rockies.

Japan settles their 4th in a non-aggressive manner towards Korea. And makes bloody well sure that they will have that gold.

Turn 39:

The Dutch settles their 3rd city. I would have put it 1 NE if I was settling it, but it's not a horrid spot on this map.

Khmer also get their 3rd city up, actually their 1st one on the water.

Turn 40:

Babylon completed The Great Wall. Sadly for people who like to see the wall graphic, Dur-Kurigalzu was 1 turn away from expanding borders and getting to have the wall around it as well.

Joao converts to Islam, presumably to pray for help against the barbs encroaching on Oporto

Germany is the first to their 5th! city. Compare this to Carthage and Ethiopia, who each only have 2 cities. They both have a settler for their 3rd built, but still. And this German city is only an iceball...

Russia settles their 4th in the north. And are very fortunate that they have 2 archers, one of them CG1, with all those barbs incoming.

World Overview:

Wonder Tracker:

The Temple of Artemis:
  • Arabia: 21 turns
  • Mali: 29 turns
  • HRE: 29 turns
The Pyramids:
  • Babylon: 24 turns

Hope this keeps going. If theres enough SP interest, maybe we can adapt this map as an epic?

I haven't been playing this more cause i've gotten distracted by other endeavors. Though I can pick it up if there's interest.

Also would be fine with releasing this for a PS challenge or setting it up for a casual pitboss or something.

It turns out that it's a lot easier to read about Sullla's events than stage one yourself. lol

I think that running this game on Livestream might be the best way to see it finished. I'd be happy to do that next month if there's interest. Brick can come and co-cast if he has the time and a microphone! biggrin Maybe?

Heh, I never claimed to be as good with the consistent write up style :D

Co-casting actually sounds pretty fun. My schedule is decently tight, but if we plan enough in advance I should be able to do it.

 yay! Sulla, im slowly working thru the survivor final on youtube, thanks for your work there.

I'd love to see this happening! I have troubles with watching things live on twitch (also the reason why I had to stop watching the AI Survivor series), but I'd definetely watch an upload on youtube or read a writeup.

Yeah, I think it would be a lot of fun, and I was thinking about trying to schedule someone else to co-cast the final game for AI Survivor. I just ended up being too busy to put anything together. I'll be away on vacation next week, and after that hopefully Brick and I can try to schedule something in July or August. Whatever happens on the Livestream, the game can certainly go up on YouTube later. thumbsup
