I'd assumed that since revelers were recon, they could see spiders. Evidently not, though, based on a worldbuilder test. I guess we'll have to ignore or avoid the spiders.

Oh, and I didn't comment on the important bit . Your overall plan sounds good to me. You may need to wait a couple turns to consolidate forces first, but I'm on board with kicking things off.

war sounds good to me too. let's just be careful that Enion doesn't go on the offensive during his worldspell (we may be able to alpha strike a border city or two to give our border cities some breathing room).
I've played eight turns, and I have to say spectres are incredibly overpowered (+2 affinity due to palace and broken sepulcher). Should we limit ourselves somehow or just accept that we're going to steamroll the AIs with Maelstrom and spectres?
I wouldn't mind adding another handicap. Suppose we reverse our ruling that summons are part of the Gate unit who summoned them? Allow Witches to attack directly if we need the bodies, but otherwise they're limited to buffing.
Err...possibly with a couple turn transition period.

I don't know if we need to limit ourselves more though. We still need to try to spawn all unit types (lots of beakers!) and build a dragon, and if the game ends easier and earlier than expected, well, there's always more games out there. *edit: cross post with Mardoc. I think we may have a tough time with the bannor (+Angels?) without summons, although you never know. We could also declare war on everyone at once... (because I don't think its possible to have two types of vision at once) --> On the other hand, having both types of visibility is perhaps more fitting.
I'm pretty sure you can have two types of vision. I think it's a tag in units xml.
