My launch date is T303 (provided I'm not attacked by anyone). Operation Sunrise is, of course, cancelled as TBS knows about it. I'm pretty sure TBS has his micro fully done, so lurkers can now with very high probability tell who is going to win.

If it is really THAT close, I still may try a variant of "Sunrise": instead od trying to burn down the city, I can just destroy all the workshops, or at least, some of them. I will need to just send there a bunch of carriers.
A bunch of mixed news:
1) 2metra not only accepted my trade offer but offered me additional 1000 gold. Not sure if this is a genuine gift or he is expecting me to give him another ICBM. He's got attacked by dtay, so he definitely will have a use for this stuff. Anyway, I don't have spare ICBMs now but can (and will) give him 3 Tacticals instead. With all this money I'm set to keep my slider at 100% until the end of the space race. 2) TBS got the Great Merchant. I don't remember if he already used his 4GPs golden age but if he didn't than he only needs to add a great artist. Well, if he starts a golden age, this will be an instant GG. 3) I built a Thruster and so did Plako. That's interesting: I don't remember when exactly he got Superconductors but, I think, about the same time as me, may be one or two turns earlier. It suggests that he has a production center comparable with mine - something to keep in mind. Curiously, TBS hasn't yet built any of the space parts yet. Now, ideal Space Race micro includes building every single part in a separate city, aimed to be completed at single turn simultaniously with the fastest possible build time for Cryo chamber / Life Support (whatever of these two is the fastest to build). This way a large part of production phase of the Space Race will happen after the discovery of Ecology when you don't need to build research anymore. I think, TBS is doing something like this, so him not building space parts isn't surprising. I, however, decided not to bother. Zulu, I suspect, have their mfg relatively evenly distributed, mine, on the other hand, is concentrated in a handful of cities. Ideal micro woul include figuring out if spreading of SS production will pay off given the need to build Labs in relatively weak cities or I should sometimes just build a space part without a lab. I decided not to bother with it, so some of my cities are going to build two space parts. These ones should complete their first one ASAP. 4) German Joey refuses to sign open borders. Now, I really would like to know what is fucking wrong with this guy. I can understand his war declarations but this? This is a pure spite, he just denies himself commerce only to screw me over. And this is given that I was his game-long ally and after that he attacked me twice! I would suspect that he will feel, you know, remorse but instead he cheerfully continues his campaign of sabotaging my victory. Well, if anyone reading this is Joey's neighbour in some different game, hear my message: that is what would happen if you try to befriend him and be nice to him. For my part, I'm thinking of sending him something like 40 open borders offers.

Joey is showing off his sense of humor. Seriously, what I've ever done to him?
Seriously, this guy is ridiculous. With all his enormous size he is somehow completely out of the space race.

I don't have right now the slightest idea how to fix the image. Google drive denied me the possibility to use "classical" view and apparantly their new view is unable to generate a working link for me. |
