Sorry guys, you can blame me for all the missing piccies.
[Lurkers] We've had a bit of a sort out and decided to put our piccies into some sort of filing system with appropriate albums which of course has broken many of the links. Even though as I moved them I kept coming back to this thread and checking it's affect and they were still here even after refresh
Even now WK's last two piccies are appearing perfectly fine now, but no doubt if like the others the link will get broken.
[A4] I have updated my edits with the new links, can you guys go in and edit yours? I would have done it but I can't edit your posts.

As we were all in agreement, we decided to move Conan SW onto the Forest.
We seem to have Wheat in abundance
I think we have 2 options for the next move SW onto Forest or SE and possibly take a look on top of that hill.
What are your thoughts?
And the Demographics this turn now one man down:

Then again, there are 17 civs on the map. Maybe we have to dogpile Krill after all...

Done.

I would actually say SE. Aquilonia's borders will expand again to cover more tiles down south. While it is true we need to scout down there, IMO we should go on the hill and then keep moving SW.

Well, let's see how I go now...
Soldier points went down by 4k this turn. However, Lobo.Thibron got eliminated, so he lost 4k due to mining & warrior being lost.
Ruff and Team Nice Shot also got a tech. Team Nice Shot probably got agriculture because they settled one turn later (like us). Ruff managed to get mediation for buddhism (ironic that a civ dies when buddhism is founded).
Someone has a higher GNP than us .

i'm still for heading back SW and scouting south, i don't know if going SE is going to reveal anything that is going to be helpful to us in the short run, long term there might be some good city sites but that could easily be as true for S, SW, W or NW.

just read the message from DIM and sounds quite sincere, we should draft up a reply quite quickly to be polite.
accepting that they have not met anyone else so far i'm happier if we want to continue SE
i've looked in game and changed prod to warrior, the game locks you in until you do something for some reason. i haven't moved worker or Conan so someone should do this as soon as possible

Turn 13 played.
We decided to move Conan SE onto the Wheat. Fortunately no barbs appeared.
Our 1st worker was also finished so I moved him SE to farm the rice.
So with all movements out of the way; before I ended our turn I checked Aquilonia to ensure we were working the Sheep. Thats what we agreed right? :neenernee
<---- after reading the above I am guessing this is my fellow A4 team mates
And the usual Demographics screen for the turn.

During turn 13 we also had a reply from team DIM.
Quote: Team A4
Our scout Hernan has spent a disturbingly long time flexing in front of the mirror since hearing you'd described him as "mighty". We just haven't had the heart to tell him the truth yet. Still, although Hernan couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag, at least he can run away pretty quickly - we'll meet civs faster and gather more information than those who start with warriors.
We ARE willing to share these benefits with you; in other words, we agree to your request to exchange information on other civs and where to find them. We hope this gesture shows our friendly intent and desire to cooperate. I'll tell you right off the bat that as of now A4 is the only civ we've made contact with.
As far as a NAP is concerned. Yes, that is the likely outcome if our relationship - as it appears to be doing - develops along friendly lines. At a minimum we'll require a better knowledge of our surroundings and a fairly specific agreement with you regarding aggressive settlements; let's put it another way - we would be suitably unimpressed if we were to sign an NAP and then see you plop your second city 4 tiles from our capital . Having said that, since a NAP would be mutually beneficial it's something we're willing to start working towards.
I think that's a good place to start. Let us know how things are going. If you're fair and show a willingness to work with us, you'll find us to be a strong ally.
Meatbalz for DIM
Initial thoughts are:
They took the "enough talking" in good faith
They also seem to have a sense of humour based on their first line (noted to me by ad hoc)
We have an opportunity to forge a good alliance here, but it is early doors
They value NAPS as viable options and are not deterred by this
Other points, personal view, I am going down the line of don't trust anybody in this game. At some point if we want to win this game, we will probably have to war with them. And just because they come across with good intentions doesn't mean a backstab is out of the question. Thats not personal to DIM or any of the other fellow players/teams, this is here to remind me later on should we ever fall under a belief we are ok with a team and not be on our guard.

Ok, I have come up with a quick reply to team DIM.
Quote:Honourable Legions of HRE,
Hernan has been running you say. Not from his reflection I hope, otherwise he certainly scares easy. Be assured then that should such a vote come through in the Apolistic Palace Hernan will definately get Team A4's rear of the year vote.
We are pleased to hear that you have agreed to share benefits, we feel this could be a start to a long lasting friendship between our empires. It is pleasing to see we have such friendly neighbours, with the Koreans already eliminated this sort of friendship is not happening everywhere in this world. Do you have any opinions on who you think may have eliminated them?
As yet we have only met yourselves but would gladly put you in contact with any others we go on to meet.
Your comments about Hernan running does not bode well. Has he come up against any Barbs yet? We are still to encounter our first, but are expecting them any time soon.
Regarding the NAP, we understand your points and feel the same. Our initial enquiry was just to sound out your opinions of NAPS as some players/teams are not in favour of them based on earlier games. No point in us pushing that way, if you did not feel NAPS were worthwhile, and we didnt want to antagonise you any further chasing up on such.
No point discussing settlements until we both have a better understanding of the land around us, and no doubt we will have differences of opinion on who would be entitled to various land, but rest assured Team A4 would be willing to work out a solution with you over a compromise should such an event occur.
Enough Talking!
A4
Go ahead rip it to shreds :neenernee

And Conan did reach the crest of the hill and saw bright blocks of stone strewn across the grassland, but, more ominously, he beheld for the first time mighty beasts in the distance. it was now time to tread warily in these dangerous lands.
Was this now the turning point for Conan, he yearned now for the drinking halls and gambling dens of Aquilonia, far from home, was it time to turn now south west and head home
