The stadium controversy is getting exported to Germany, I kind of want to send the picture to our mayor. (background : the city doesn't want to renovate the stadium so the club has to play its games in Beauvais this year, 65km away, except for a few select matches that will be played in the Stade de France, and basically the fans can't come watch the team play)

Sian and Retep have open borders together, I figured I could have a share too.
This is possibly the turn Grimace attacks. He has 8 vultures and 2 spears against 5 phalanxes. Yeah he might have a chance actually, but I looked at the spreadsheet numbers and I still think he won't make it.

I doubt it. Every one of our phalanxes skills take at least one vulture with him. You're bringing in reinforcements right? Ha have you accounted for fortify bonus in the spreadsheet?

The odds are : 91.05, 90.36 95.81 95.81 88.28 and then it depends on how badly we got hit on the first ones (except if we get the 8.33% chance of winning the first battle flawlessly, then after the first battle it's 91.05 then 96.16).
3 Phalanxes and the wounded chariot are 1 tile away from the city.

Grimace didn't attack. I don't think he'll have another opportunity now that I'm getting longbows in the place. I have no idea what his plan is, it's probably just to make me unable to use the city so I'll just whip it 2->1 until I can destroy his stacks.
Site 5 will be planted in 3t (settler is out at the end of turn it's getting on the spot next turn and will settle the one after that). It's the Colossus spot, I'll be preparing the forests from now on. In other news, Sian is going to settle the spot south of Archimedes (with the ivories). It's annoying but as long as Grimace is a pain I can't call his bluff (seriously he's coming with just 1 axe and 1 impi it's so tempting).

9 don't remember every map detail but that plant of Sian's should be easy to cut off from the rest of his empire if it comes to war, so maybe not the worst thing if he brings himself into a difficult to defend position. But we definitely don't want more war right now.
Grimace trying to get his stack past Thu towards Thales is not a peril I hope? Maybe a new peace offer would work, moreso if backed by longbows. Maybe even give him a little (!) Gold after getting to currency so he can feel he has won something. Once we feel safe at Thu, growing on fin coast while Grimace is blockading the land might be an acceptable option. Would have to who out a lighthouse though (how many hammers is that?)
Still construction before MC?
How are the new western cities developing?

Still on 5 cities, but city 6 coming soon (and others soon). Grimace is on 5, Retep on 6 IIRC only Sian has a lot more. And yes Sian's city will be indefensible. Lighthouse is 40h on quick I think. There are no threats to Thales don't worry. I'll think about peace for some gold after currency, the thing is that it's already late for Colossus so I want to get MC quick. After that I don't mind giving him some gold. My plan after MC is actually IW->masonry->construction because masonry is a prereq to construction and IW will get us happiness/commerce (through the jungled gems in the east) iron and swords.

I don't think we want swords. One ancient war should be enough
Catas are the one reliable way to free us from Grimace, and the UB also gives happiness, but granted, the gems happiness is a lot more direct, and 2 happy forges.. Sounds awesome.
I think in the end the urgency of construction depends on the Grimace situation.
Also, am I right that no Stonehenge thus far ![rolf rolf](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/rolf.gif) ?
