Okay - I have played and ended turn. Reminder to whoever plays to make sure and get a screenshot of the demographics screen when you play.
Also, our worker is done next turn - and we have no plan for what we're doing next!!!
I am assuming SW and mine, since that's about all we can do at this point, but what tile should we be working? 3/0/1 rice? Are we going back to back worker, in which case continue on the 0/3/0 PFH

SW and mine the grassland hill, build another Fast Worker, keep the tiles the same. I think that's the best plan given we went BW first (in fact sunrise saying we'd do two Fast Workers out the gate was the thing that sold me on BW instead of Agr).

I have to run.

Okay T13 played.
Technotronic the worker was born and started the mine SW. I wanted to name her Technotronic Featuring Ya Kid K but I ran out of space.
Ladies Night started another worker, and BW due in 5.
We'll have one turn of idleness before BW comes in, so I think we can put 1t of mining into the plains hill and then start chopping.
Still waiting on sooooo or darrelljs to put together a sandbox / plan for where we go from here.
Demographics and score both were unchanged this turn.

Email from ruff in our DJCiv email
Quote:Hi DJCiv
I can almost hear the loud music over here. It is good to see that you trust my word re my warrior. While I would have preferred not to be called a liar in the first message that I get from you I guess it just shows that beginnings are difficult time. As such, I will overlook your lying comment and let you in on the lie that you missed ... while I am technically North of you, it is more East than North. I am sure that you can understand my reasoning for this slight mis-direction, driven from my early need for safety (just look what happened to Korea).
Further, your C&D department needs to re-evaluate some of its findings because I do not have a 2-hammer city tile at my capital (BTW - how did you work out my capital name?). Also, I have found another civ off to your West (no, it isn't Rome).
Regarding technology ... as you know, I founded a religion this turn. Obviously, I want to grab a Great Priest to really help this religion spread. As such, I will knock off 1 or 2 religious techs (after the required worker related techs) and then reevaluate.
Regarding tech alliances, I am tossing around the idea of becoming a gold based civ and fueling 1, 2 or 3 other civs for their teching. This will help both parties specialize in selectively constructing appropriate building. I have trialed this in a few games and found that once the coin multiplier buildings come on line, a single gold civ can easily fund 3 researching civs.
Regards,
Ruff

Quote:Hi Ruff,
Thank you for the note about your not 2 hammer city tile. We had previously sacked our C&D department but are pleased to report that the person in charge of sacking them has, in turn, been sacked.
And we didn't call you a liar, we specifically did NOT call you a liar :-D
Congrats on landing Buddhism - we hope that we can get some spread our way, either automatically or through a missionary. We think that it would be very trippin'! It's weird, even though as human players there is no real "We care for our brothers and sisters of the faith" bonus, often times it does seem to play out that way....
<something about our western neighbor>
<something about sunrise's gold fueling>

And, sunrise - you were supposed to edit this part
Quote:We (or maybe use some sort of DJ-name for the C&D department) must assume that you have a 2 hammer capital.

So it seems that Pottery would be discovered by now if anyone was going for it (possible exception of France who settled T2).
So I think we have Portugal, Rome and us going for BW (due on T17 or 18 )
and
France, Babylon, Sumeria, Egypt and the Ottomans going for AH

Well, remember that even a Fast Worker comes to a full stop moving onto a Hill with a Forest. YOu might have already taken that into account, just a friendly reminder .
I get the feeling sooooo (our micro guy) is more of a play be feel dude, so I'm not sure we'll need a sandbox. I don't mind making one for the capital though if its needed.

Yes - the plains hill is not forested. Here's an old pic
We're currently mining the grass hill SW of the city.
My thought was mine T13-14-15-16. T17 move 1S mine hill 1t, cancel. T18 move NW and chop
Though actually in retrospect, it might be better to move SE to the plains forested hill. We'll have to lose a turn there no matter when we go there, since as darrell pointed out you lose a turn no matter what. So might as well take it now, since in theory we can get the non-forested hill w/o a worker turn loss down the road
