We should look up if there's any m mathematician from Rhodes to name the new city after.
[Spoilers] I have enough games already. Oh look, a PBEM !

I found two actually :
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eudemus_of_Rhodes https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geminus But I may want to refrain from naming the city after them until after I build the Colossus. I don't think you can be too paranoid with what people will google/know on these forums.
Pappus has been founded, Grimace's troops have moved forward as expected, I decided to retreat, the odds weren't good enough for now on defense. Also the southern barb city that Sian captured... Was recaptured by the barbs this turn. This is great news, I didn't like Sian being so strong right on the border. Retep is still way ahead though. Currency will be done at the end of next turn so that's nice.

Going to defend the hill 1n of the peak or stay on copper? We should account for the possibility that he matches through straight to Arch or Pyth, too.
Staying on the copper this turn has several advantages :
I keep the copper (the second one will be hooked soon but I'd like to keep this one until it is) Grimace has no chance attacking 4 phalanxes and a longbow on a hill. Worst case scenario is that he goes to the forested hill west of Thales which forces me to go inside the city, but even then I control the roads and intend to send almost all my troops currently in Thu to chase them. He can't get to Pyth or Arch without my stack getting there before him. |
