Yeah but in which ring? :neenernee

I've done a few sandbox tests and I find it hard to see that anything would be better than

T13-16 mine, working PFH. When mine is done swap to 1/3/0 mine.
T17 move SE to PFH
T18-20 chop out worker

for our next 5 turns

That gives us 8 hammers overflow into whatever and Agriculture due on T28 if we work a commerce tile, T29 if we don't

Note that I believe our rice is freshwater but in the sandbox it isn't

So to think about that a bit more, we have 7 turns to Agriculture, which means 14 worker turns before we discover Agriculture and learn how to farm.

It seems silly to build a 2nd mine when we can't even really work the one that we have, and we can't really do anything else but chop, so that's 4 forests chopped, plus 2 turns into another one. That lines up perfectly with then spending 5 worker turns farming.

So T28 both workers farm
T29 both workers farm
T30 one worker completes the farm and the other one finishes the chop.

So that is 80 hammers, with another 20 on T30. We can do something like 20 hammers on T22, T23, T25, T26, T30.

By T30 we will have 8 hammer overflow from the 2nd worker, 10 hammers from the city center for T21-30, and those 100 chop hammers. Also, 6 hammers from working the mine at size 2 T29 and T30. So that's 124 total hammers.

Our options are:

Stonehenge - 80 hammers (120 hammers but we get 50% increase in prod)
Warriors - 15 hammers
Settler or Barracks

So we could do something like 2 warriors and Stonehenge, and start a settler once we hit size 2.

We also need to decide when we want to revolt to slavery.

The only thing to be careful of there is timing the chops so we don't lose overflow while building a warrior.

Seems like we should want the warriors out first - we can build our 2nd and 3rd warriors on T23 and T24.

A few other things to consider - when we're only working the 3/0/1 rice, we lose a hammer while building Stonehenge, since 1 hammer doesn't get a 50% bonus. Perhaps it would be best to work the 2/1/1 sheep tile on the turns we don't get chops in, since essentially it makes it a 2/2/1 tile

As I continue to reply to myself for thread spamming purposes lol

I miscounted - Agriculture comes in on T28, so we can't count the 2 worker turns on T28, since we'll want to farm then. So we only have 12 worker turns, which means we have 1 less chop and 20 less hammers. Stonehenge completes with our last chop on T32, so I believe we can fit in a 3rd warrior (4th total counting the starting one) and not delay Henge.

And this is why sometimes, planning is futile....

In Demographics news, no techs and no population increases this turn (T16). I guess maybe France was not working a commerce tile, which would mean it will take them 15 turns to AH, and it will show up next turn.

I also realized that the warrior that was built on T9 could not have gone to Babylon as I had guessed at the time, since if that was true, their recent discovery of Animal Husbandry would have put them at 10K soldier points, when the max is still at 8K.

I've gone back and given it to Inca (quechua), since they are the only other team that has grown to size 2 (Aztec and HRE already have confirmed warrior builds). Makes sense since if you're not building a worker first (as 14 teams appear to be), a warrior is a logical first build. Stonehenge is not impossible for Inca as they start with Mysticism, and is something worth keeping an eye on.

We did have a 2000 increase in soldier count this turn, and with no techs, that means a warrior. I am going to assign it to one of the expansive civs as a 2nd build after completing the warrior.

There are 6 expansive civs. HRE and Inca already have built warriors so probably not them, and not us (or Korea lol). That leaves Sury of England and Pacal of Carthage and since Sury settled on T0, I'll guess them.

2 things that we need to decide this turn

1) Sunrise - have we replied back to Ruff - we are at 40/40 EPs on him, so we should see his graphs next turn. Ideally we'd like an agreement to stop EP spendign once we have each others' graphs but that's going to be tough for us since we have nobody else to spend on! Still we should probably say something

2) TEAM: - Next turn our worker needs to do something, and 2t till BW. My vote is SE on to the plains forested hill, to chop it T18-20, but if we want to do something else, we need to figure that out.

Let me post before you set some kind of record for replying to yourself lol. I agree with the chop. I revise my suggested build order to Warrior -> Stonehenge -> Warrior -> Settler. I chatted with sunrise and he is sending something to ruff. I also gave ruff a heads up to expect something from sunrise smile.
