Instead, reply back with a cheeky response saying how your adversary will soon be swimming with the fish, or similar. Xenu, this is ridiculous. From what I infer about the situation, Dreylin did nothing wrong. This rule suggestion is completely and totally impossible to abide by, because you can't distinguish between true and false offers from the diplo interface. It is totally possible to regret a war immediately after you've declared it. A suggestion: given that there's a bug that causes unintended ceasefire offers it may be best for for actual ones to be accompanied with a message indicating that it is genuine.
...and if you get a ceasefire offer that is not accompanied by a message indicating it's real, decline it.

Honestly I don't like this weird rule. If I offer a ceasefire but forget to send a message (like I would do in EVERY other game) my opponent doesn't accept it and I get penalized because people want the fun of sending a "your head would look good on a pike" message ?

Take it as a rule or not, I'm not your game admin so I'm not tasked with making up rules. But I know I won't be doing a reload for the same problem next time because now everyone is aware of it. I suggested the new "rule" as a way to help prevent this from coming up again. But I'm not playing, do what you want. Maybe you can get Cal or Grimace to do a reload if it comes up again.

This wasn't against you xenu, I appreciate that you took time to solve the problem, I just don't like the idea that a blank ceasefire proposal should be met with automatic rejection. Just don't send unnecessary messages in times of war now that we know they break stuff.

Xenu makes sense. He is proposing two reasonable courses of action:
1. Don't send a taunt/insult/french monty python knight quip along with your war dec because a cease fire offer will also be sent to the declared upon party. You will bear the risk of the other party accepting that offer now that you know that this supplemental cease fire offer will also be transmitted.
2. If you get such a cease fire message, and if there is a quip/taunt/insult/"I fart in your general direction" statement made in one of the offers, it may be an unintended cease fire offer. If you know that it may be unintended, and a quote/quip/insult is evidence of that, you probably shouldn't accept it. Take a screenshot and see if you can get a consensus from lurkers. Maybe a lurker tries to confirm it with the other party. Technically yes, the other party is sending you a legitimate cease fire offer within the game because they called your mother a hamster, but you probably know that they didn't mean it (the cease fire offer, that is, your mother was on the wheel earlier ).
If you don't want to be burned, don't send text along with the war dec. I won't, but if I received a cease fire offer that had text, I would surmise that it may not have been intended and decline it.

Can someone check that the game is still paused; looks like it's down to 2:30 on the clock, which I don't think gets to wetbandit's window.

My connection has been timing out when I try to connect to the game. Anyone else having issues? I'll try again in the morning.
I'm just doing my best out here.
