True, but you want to be in position to take the other half.
I think I'm with you in that it isn't wise to whip down completely but how many turns is it gonna take to get a Grimace eater stack? Maybe try to find a way inbetween both extremes (now that was the day part, executing it is up to you )

I'm still flexible and can start whipping whenever I want. Currently I have good tiles available in most cities : why not use them ?

I'm not sure how long it will take to get the stack up, the timer on when I should attack lies with Sian. If he goes after Retep I have some time ahead, if he goes after Grimace I'll need to speed things up (I think even the current 1-mover stack with 4 knights could take a few cities, so with 8+ knights I could definitely launch an emergency attack).

I went from 3 to 6 knights this turn, one will come out of Thales next turn and at least two the turn after that. All this with minimal whipping (I just 1-whipped the cap, which regrew immediately)

I'll have enough knights in ~5t. I might decide not to wait for the last ones to arrive to the front lines before attacking, they'll catch up soon enough. The good news is that Engineering will be teched by then (in 4t normally, it was an expected 7t when I started 3t ago) so I'll be able to look into Shepherd book in the same turn as I position to fork it and Zoe (see post 351 if you want to see what I'm talking about, I forgot to take a screenshot this turn).

It was my plan to take a picture this turn but said turn hasn't arrived. You'll get the graphs tomorrow afternoon (maybe, I have plans to watch the rugby game)

At the end of turn two more knights were born, making them 8. Next turn two more. Then I can start making real plans.

I'm considering sending a message to Sian with our border cities near Retep. I couldn't find anything against those kind of messages in the tech thread. Sian could be interested.
