WB got the Pyramids and a GS, so that's neat. I wonder in what era he's going to want to win.
I'm a couple turns from settling an ivory island, and several more turns from actually getting it connected, but at least with Currency all these off-shore cities should be profitable, maybe???? CoL is almost done, 1 turn left I think. Does anyone remember if whipping a Sacrificial Altar will gain the benefit when it finishes, or if you only get reduced whip times for everything after it? I'm guessing the latter, but.....
Calendar and Construction are probably my next big techs. I can hook up silks, and with Furs, Silks, and Ivory available, it will probably be worth it to build/whip Markets in my largest cities for the +3 happy. Capital and my high-food cities could use it. I've got a LOT of food sitting unused because I don't have enough happy cap to use it. Very sad.

I need a new goal. A new war. Maybe I'll build like 20 galleys and suddenly invade someone.

Ha. Meereen might be a bit far, but if someone wants to mod me in dragons on the sly I won't complain. *wink*
I wonder if I could actually successfully ruin wetbandit's day. I wonder how many people besides wetbandit would complain about that. I've gotten more flak for not attacking the front-runner in the past. Kinda wish I had taken a picture of the world map for me to look at when I'm not logged in, but I'm pretty sure just sailing a fleet there would take 20 turns. On the other hand, he really wouldn't be expecting it. Probably.

So, I could make it to WB's territory, but I'd have to get past the Zulu and sail around a big island and go through some other territory since there doesn't appear to be a direct coastal route. It'd probably take a dozen turns. I probably won't do this, but I'll try and keep the option open.

Whoops. I guess I hadn't been checking power graphs for a while. Dreylin is on a climb, so I should probably allow some of those nearly complete units to finish in the next few turns. EoT I get Calendar and should be able to hook up Silks immediately. A couple more turns to get Ivory though. Going to try and get Markets in capital and maybe 1 or two other cities but I shouldn't let myself go on autopilot.
Let a chop finish to the wrong city, so I'll be building a sacrificial altar there, I guess. I forget the rule of thumb for when it's a good idea to put courthouses in, but I think wealth builds are often stronger, especially compared to Markets. I do want some SAs for the extra EPs though.

It's probably too early to call for a concession, but it looks like scoreleader Wetbandit is in the process of eating yuris. I suppose Borsche has a chance to try to make something of this, but ????. To be honest, I'm looking forward to putting Civ MP behind me, so I'm just kinda eager for things to wrap up at this point.

Heh, I've had a few new hobbies for quite some time now actually. It's more about that I'm no longer getting as much fun out of these for the time I put in. It's possible I might enjoy a SG or maybe something like a 3v3 MP game (other people to work with plus some novelty). I've just finally admitted to myself I lack the skills and inclination to win any of these games.
Anyway, this turn I turned on 100% research (losing over 100 gpt with a couple wealth builds going on) but I get construction in 2 turns. Don't think Dreylin has that? At least, I can't see any bridges based on the roads I can see. I've got half a dozen Jaguars sailing to the island north (relative) of me. Gonna raze a barb town and rebuild 1N of it (I haven't had luck with barb cities and my dotmaps). Maybe my guys will find other targets of opportunity up there.
Techwise, maybe HBR next. Catapults, War Elephants, and other misc hitters might make a decent force. Dreylin is still increasing power, so I'm letting all those queued units finish, and I'll need to make more, but I'd rather make catapults than more ancient era garbage. I guess my fun goal at this point is to try and fight another war? 20+ cats and 30+ units seems like the minimum requirement for the next big offensive. I wonder if I can manage that before everything I build is obsolete.

Got a great scientist by accident, oops. No idea what to do with him. I'm just about to burn all my cash and go back to saving gold, so academy might be useless. I don't want a Golden Age just yet. Nothing worth bulbing from my position. I guess I could save him? I dunno.
Decided to 1T Metal Casting instead of HBR this turn. I'm going to be putting hammers into catapults, anyway, so no point in unlocking more expensive units just yet anyway. And if I'm going to unlock a new building, why not Forges? Also, no one has built the Colossus, yet. I'm sure someone is working on it, but hey, might as well take a shot at it. I'm working a fair bit of coast/lakes as it is.
