[TECH] PB28 Tech Thread

There are a lot of people who haven't played yet, but who would typically have played by now; I think we all need to be aware that the civstats e-mails may not be reliable at the moment and keep a check on the website.

Turn rolled at a weird time for Europe so if that person's daily window is at night, they will be playing relatively later in the clock. I'll be monitoring, but I think we'll be all right with 11 hours.

Yeah, I'm probably being overly cautious, but if people are relying on the e-mails to know whether to log in and there are issues with them (which there are), then I Ifelt a quick reminder here would be better than a pause later on.

FWIW about 5min after I posted, I got the e-mail for the PB29 turn roll - that happened ~20hrs beforehand. At that rate I should get yesterday's PB28 notification any minute!

I was pretty sure I did end the turn, but shortly after I was disconnected from the server, so perhaps that caused an error. Anyway, I won't be able to log back in tonight, and I won't be able to get to the game until late tomorrow. I may need a pause, but if we're waiting for the timer to run out now then that might not be the case. Sorry.

FYI, I'm going to a Halloween party this evening and am unlikely to be able to play tonight. Most likely I won't be able to play before my regular window tomorrow evening. It doesn't seem like this should be much of a problem since I've played the current turn, but if the turn rolls early today then I might need a short pause.
