Swapped to rice and warrior and finished chop.
Warrior will be born next turn - needs an alcoholic beverage name
Despite the Saints being gross, I propose "Hurricane" in support of their victory on Sunday.

Okay Hurricane it is.
So here's our next real problem, and it feels to me like this is the "right" question to answer, i.e. the one that should drive our research and build paths rather than the other way around
What are we going to do with our workers?
We have a plan through T30, when the rice will be farmed.
Starting on T28, we research a new tech. Some options
Hunting->AH - Hunting T36, AH done on T48
AH - done on T42
Wheel - done on T38.
Masonry - done on T38.
So, if we go Hunting->AH that is 36 worker turns when we can do nothing but farm, mine and chop forests. So what do we do?
Sunrise made the suggestion that we chop out settlers while growing on the non chop turns, stockpile them, and then, once we get a decent unit, we slave out a bunch of those and then settle 2-3 citeis right away
Obviously the sheep is our next best tile, and I'm loathe to delay hooking up a 4/1/2 tile, but if we're not going to spend that many turns over size 2, then it's not the END of the world...
The Wheel I threw out there just to give our workers something else to do.

Most of my games all I do is Farm, Mine and chop Forests so that's okay with me .
Really though we do need The Wheel and Pottery. Hunting gives a discount on AH. And AH gives a discount on Pottery. So Hunting -> AH -> The Wheel -> Pottery. Which means aggressively settling thing Copper instead of that pretty Floodplains/Stone site.
I have more posts than sooooo+sunrise, and you have more posts than everyone combined .

AH doesn't give a discount on Pottery, right? AH gives a discount on Writing and Fishing would give a discount on Pottery

I knew that :neenernee. It wouldn't change my preferred tech order...

I agree with this paragraph completely!
EDIT: Oops, forgot about archery. Don't we want archery? I think we definitely want it before pottery.
I don't see any need for early masonry BTW. I think it's important that we don't get into the trap that industrious means build lots of wonders. The trait is more than useful enough if we get a cheap way to expand our borders (stonehenge), half-price forges and half-price national wonders. Any other wonders we build are a bonus but for now we should concentrate on expansion and defence. I can see that the hanging gardens should be nice for us, especially as mathematics is a nice tech with our forests and fast workers.

Okay T24 played according to plan a few pages back.
Hurricane the warrior born - we will have a 2nd warrior next turn - need another beverage
Also, slightly more important from a game standpoint - where should he go?
There seemed to be consensus that we wanted to settle near the copper with our 2nd city, so I propose the blue path for Hurricane.
2nd warrior can go either south or west. We know there is a civ to our west that ruff has met, so maybe we bet they'll contact us and we send this guy south?

Warrior path looks good. How about we toggle between cocktails and beer? Maybe go Guinness next?

Demographically speaking
We had the other 3 creative civs (Portugal, Babylon, Ottomans - the ones that settled on T1) get their BFC land points.
Sury of England became the 2nd civ to grow the capital to size 2, and Byzantium and Mali got tech, with the global soldier count going up 12000.
So here's where it gets a little wacky. These folks both start with The Wheel, so unless they both researched 2000 point techs (AH, Mining, etc) and then *4* separate civs all completed warriors on the same turn (in addition to us), then one of those techs has to be Bronze Working (which is 8000 soldier points)
It would have to be Mali, since Byz don't have Mining yet. But the wacky thing is that they last researched a tech on T10. Which means only 14 turns, which is 15.5 bpt, which is a pretty steep rate. I mean, they ARE financial but it bears watching.
Shoot it can't be them, because then they'd have a max of 19K soldier points but the max is still only 15K.
So maybe it is Animal Husbandry for both of them and then 4 warriors. Certainly makes more sense from a tech standpoint.

Sounds good to me. Like I said before, I don't drink so I'm going to be no help on this one
I wonder if Ruff is building Stonehenge. Makes sense given his religion founding and the fact that he is Charismatic. He hasn't built more than just the 1 warrior as his power is holding steady.
It looks like he just finished his worker and has moved to a hammer heavy configuraiton (5hpt).
I don't think he can beat us (I don't think ANYONE is going to even come CLOSE to sniffing T30) but just wondering....
