RBP3: Joao of Inca [SPOILERS]

The lion is on a hill, we can move into jungle beside him or attack and take the hill.

First contact message sent to Ruff.

Defo move into jungle. Taking that hill really ain't worth the odds. Exciting to hear about our new neighbour smile I'm glad it's ruff, should make for an interesting game. He might be roleplaying something again btw, I wonder what. Considering he's Napoleon of Aztecs we better keep an eye on him.

???:
1) Look at his borders, it kinda looks like he already has third ring.. what?!
2) You reckon it's worth it to try our luck and attack? I'd say no since it's been a while now and he'll probably be able to defend himself. Plus I kinda don't want to eliminate someone right away just by luck.. It's cruel!

Very quick note: aztec's 3rd ring so early can be explained only by a holy city. Note that they are working the plains hill for 3H. Can it be empty?

The Aztec's have the buddhist holy city. I also doubt it's empty as he's grown to size 2. He's probably building a worker as we speak. It's possible it's empty but more likely there's a warrior close by if it is.

I'd love to go in but don't think it will be worth it. Which way should we move Hot Dog?

My suggestion for the worker would be to go NE onto the grass/forest/hill and chop/mine. We can complete the quecha in 3, with the chop (due in 4)going into a worker and then we could whip the worker after adopting slavery as we'd be at size 3 with a useless tile, and then grow back to size 4 to 2-pop whip a settler.
Played in:
RBPB2 - Willem of Ottoman - 6th/10
RBPB3 - Joao of Inca 13th/17 or so???
PBEM6 - Shaka of the Vikings 2nd/5 (thanks Lewwyn)

Ah that explains it. I'm too used to seeing the religion has been founded in a faraway land text smile Buddhism was indeed found 3520 BC. No other religions have been found. That leading 37k land area probably belongs to ruff then. Good catch on 3h tile. His cap is size two so it's also working another tile.

Sausage was assaulted by that lion. He survives with 0.5/2HP.

Hot Dog southwest to reveal the land between us and ruff. Ruff mentioned, or claimed, that he had met three civs already so there might even be someone between us (or a bit southern than us).

Chop/whip plan sounds good. Another option is to go for a settler first and chop/whip it. It might be more useful than a second worker right away. We get BW next turn so no need to wait for that either.

Hot Dog is scouting around Ruff's land.
Sausage is recuperating from eating that lion.

BW is in, research set to AH.
Micro'd JANK so that we grow to size 3 next turn AND finish the Quecha.

Worker afterwards? Though I think we could go for a settler (chop)/whip and another Quecha first. Not much to do for 2 workers.

I think a 2nd worker is really worth rather than a settler. The key here is to speed up chopping as well as improving the rest of the land.

Do we see any copper? What's the ETA on AH?

Let's hear what athlete thinks about settler/worker.

NO COPPER!!! bangheadbangheadbanghead
Nowhere in sight.

ETA of AH is 14 turns.

^ Only copper so far. Nakor must have missed it

How about hunting first? It's only 6 turns and will give us a discount for AH. We might get sheeps connected faster with AH first, but I don't mind taking that small detour to save some research turns from the future.
