T85.
Put my Academy up last turn. First GS born, so I'm ahead there. HAK built Oracle, got a GP from that and/or a temple, and built a shrine. I thought the GE was Oracle>MC> Pyramids, but Commodore got them. That would mean Commodore teched MC, built a forge not in his capital (which I had seen by then, so I would have got a better birth message), and then burned it on Pyramids. Since he has stone, seems more likely he chopped Pyramids directly at some forest spot, and probably would have built Colossus by now too if he had MC. Which means someone has done something else with a GE (bulb machinery?)
My workboat has near-completed it's lap of the continent I think. It gets to where my scout died on the east next turn. I saw the edge of some light-colored culture S of Borsche and inland, but didn't manage to meet him (Serdoa?, Krill?, Ichabod? Darn color blindness.)
It's possible Borshe is stuck in the narrow point of an infinity sign, preventing me from accessing the other 2/3rds of a pangaea of which I'm on the western section, but seems more likely we are on 3 continents. Or something similar behind Niles, I haven't violated his culture yet either. If this is everyone (including the unknown culture discussed above), we only have 8 players on this continent, of 23.
Oh, and despite my dead scouts failing to explore inland, it appears there is an inland sea in the southern half of my continent as well. REM is stringing settlers SE along it preventing me from accessing it currently, unless I race to get ahead of him. Chopping his extended cities off for myself seems about as good a plan. He has HA, but I have 2-promo spears and swords, if I decide to go that way. Then again, why war when there is lots of land still?
I also see some land across 2 tiles of sea (crossable with a galley) to my east (S of Niles). Just one tile, but should be either another continent or what appears to be the only island in the game so far.
I just got resource routes with multiple players this turn, which means they all just finished Sailing. Considering the wonder pace so far, probably a chop battle for GLH starting. I'll stay out of that one too, plenty of settlers to build still. No islands, so no ICT routes.
Currency due next turn (T86), which puts me in the middle of the pack for my known neighbors. Currency is on the way to CoL, and city maintenance is going to be a concern very soon. Hope I can get there without resorting to building wealth, but I might need to.
Pics later, playing from work, and I've forgotten my FTP password. My home computer has it memorized.
