RB Pitboss #2 [SPOILERS] - Speaker and Sullla

This game from your screenshots is very reminiscent of RBTS2.

Just pretend you're playing Defense! again, Sullla. :-D

Well, at least something has gone our way. They left 2 chariots exposed, which performed needless pillaging actions, so I killed them each with a spear, and got a 2nd Great General.

More to come....

The rest of the turn was uneventful. Positioned some units for better defensive coverage. Shuffled as many axes as we could over to Fredericksburg. It would actually be funny if 8 chariots hopped off the boat and owned our city full of axes, but something tells me that won't happen. lol

We don't plan to send Whosit any sort of message telling him we know he is coming, but we did leave him this little note in game:

We should be able to get another general Axe in there next turn, and build another unit, maybe an axe, depending on whether they cut our metal.

I'm hoping they choose to attack either Chancellorsville or Antietam, but I'm sure they won't.

When they unload tomorrow and I can see what promotions they have, I'll be able to simulate it and figure out if we can hold the city or not. My gut tells me that if they have just 1 promotion, we'll be fine. If they have 2, we may have to pull out. If it's a mix of 1 and 2 promotions, we'll play it by ear.

Likewise - it's like a where's waldo puzzle - but it made me giggle. lol

Good luck and thanks for great reporting!

+1 kudos on the name.

However, question - given your assumption that the galleys are all/mostly Praets, and your lack of Shock axes, would it have been potentially better to spread out the GG's xp to get multiple Shocks rather than one uber-unit?

Yes, it would have been better, but I am not confident that I could have gotten the general to Fredericksburg in time to pull it off, or that Antietam and Chancellorsville would hold this turn without the general in Antietam.

But I wish I had considered that option a little more. You might have suggested it earlier. 8)
