RBP3: Joao of Inca [SPOILERS]

I logged into the game and selected a worker as next build, but feel free to change. I have a request: please don't do a mine on a forested hill. Athlete and I had this discussion before. Doing a mine for 7 turns on a forested hill brings no advantage and only ties the worker. We should chop first then mine after. This way we get the chop sooner (I know that here it doesn't matter) and more importantly we can change our minds and (or we may be forced to) move the worker.

Ok, Kalin. You make a valid point there.

I do think, however, that we should go Settler first. Athlete agrees and so does Jowy. The settler must move a long way towards the copper, so the sooner he starts. We should do a worker after the settler.

We could send Meat Ball east to see if there is copper between us and Ruff.

When do we revolt to Slavery?

Hey guys,

I've lost track of the turns so don't know if it can be switched yet or not but if we are going wheel first it might actually be best to go worker first. I'm kind of on the fence. Let me put some scenario's together.

At size 3 if we go settler first we need to chop/whip out asap. After putting a turn into the settler we should probably adopt slavery. Once the settler is out we then go worker at size 2 for a chop and whip.

Alternatively we go worker at size 3 and chop/whip and then at size 2 chop/whip a settler out. We should also be able to road towards the copper so the road network is probably already in place by the time the 2nd city is out. We lose some turns on the 2nd city founding but gain on the road network being in place.

Personally I'm OK with either option. I don't know which would be better but I would normally go with the 2nd in an sp game. In this one though I think I'm more inclined to go settler first as I'm not sure the lost turns will be worth having the trade route in place.

I moved western quecha to the plains hill west, that unfogged almost the whole are between us and ruff. We can have him unfog the rest and have the new quecha head to a new direction (south?) or guard cap. Found ruff's warrior just south of our western quecha btw. Didn't move new quecha yet.

Let's keep the new Quecha at home, ok?

I suggest we keep to our settler first plan. The chop will speed him up and probably part of that chop can go into the second worker.

I also suggest we revolt to slavery AFTER the settler is finished. If we do so before we waste another turn.

+1! Except in one case it's better to mine, when you want to work that tile and don't need the chop faster.

If we're not going to whip the settler then sure. I thought the plan was to whip him though? Or maybe just chop and then whip a worker?

I think we can better whip the worker after the settler is out.

The settler will take 5 turns (with the chop/mine due in 4).
The Wheel will take 6 turns.

Sounds good then!

I guess the majority has spoken, but for the record I wanted a second worker smile We need at least 1.5 workers per city and probably 2 in our case. Our capital will need to go worker-worker probably after this. Also I rearranged the tiles around the capital to get max hammers. 1H now is worth more than 1C imo. We'll get more overflow into a worker even though it still takes 7 turns for the settler.
