I threw in the collateral and then attacked.






Razed the city.



What's left of my stack. Around 10 units on the way as reinforcements. Some are staying back to defend, just in case.
Velociraptor only has 1 longbow defending it. Should go there next.

Mardoc captured Velociraptor. Now I don't have to capture it for him, so that's nice.



Scouted out the city. Almost no defense, so I marched forward.
Considered going for Leprosy (the one to the east), but I don't have much siege left and it'll likely be better defended.
I killed two of Fenn's units on the island (he razed my small city and sat next to a bigger one). That should be under control now.

War weariness is hitting like a truck. I hate that mechanic. There's already enough to discourage war in Civ, like how a completely unprepared enemy can whip out an army out of his ass in a few turns.

Fenn has rifles and it's a problem. I think after the next city, I will retreat and rebuild. I know, I know, how boring.
I got the tech for Cuirassiers this turn, and can get Cavalry + Rifles in like 10.
Hopefully Fenn will wreck his empire by drafting and whipping. Then I just need to survive and I'll come on top.
Of course there's a ticking time bomb in play, as at some point the big boys will come stop our fun.

If anyone has a combat calculator feel free to run this through it. My intuition said that 36.40 STR is too much.
I retreated and offered white peace.



It seems I had the power advantage, but he got the right tech just when he needed it.

I could probably wipe out Mardoc in these 10 turns, but the dynamics are more interesting with him alive.

And now Dreylin declared on Fenn. I think he'll probably capture the islands. He has a worker inside one of my cities too, checking for defenses.
There's not much I can do about it if he tries. I can only defend mainland.

Fenn crumbled so fast that I won't have time to reinforce. Those cities are as good as gone

On the bright side, I will launch a Golden Age and revolt to Free Religion and Free Market in 2 turns.
Then I will get the Rifles and Cavalry. I think the slight delay is worth it. Might revolt to Nationhood too, though Vassalage has been nice for the XP..

Yeah.. Opened the game and Dreylin is demanding the two cities.






There wasn't much to negotiate.. I'll give him the cities that he could take anyway, and hopefully I can continue playing on main land for a while longer.
