I know I'm coming late to the party on this, but consider my vote a big fat "NO" on a reload request. As much as Civ4 is a strategy game, individual unit tactics do make a big difference. And no, you shouldn't be able to reload your way out of dumb mistakes. We were actually discussing something along these lines yesterday while playing the turn, wondering if the teams ranged against us would make some kind of crippling tactical mistake. Well, we actually got the break we needed! Thank you Whosit for smoking the pungent weed!
Speaker, we can discuss this further this evening, but I'm of the opinion that we should agree to hear out what Dantski says. If we can get even one member of the opposing alliance to turn on their partners, it would be a huge break for us. And if Dantski wants us to give him cities for peace or something like that, we'll just say "no" and move on.

a couple weeks ago right after this war broke out, in another thread I compared the situation to a globetrotters game consisting of 5 Harlem Globetrotters versus 25 Washington Generals. I am always glad when events conspire to prove me right! Look at the ridiculous comedy of errors your enemies have made!

Well, I'd love to get a long-lasting peace, and maybe have some real ally in this game. I hold no grudge against Dantski for this war. He is well within any reasonable right to attack us, and hasn't acted like a jerk or underhandedly at all. Here's some of the possibilities I see:
1) He removes his units immediately
2) Once we have cleared out the Praetorians, work together to kill Jowy and Nakor, and split their land.
3) Help him defend his front against Whosit.
4) Trade a couple Fast Workers for a couple Settlers (long term)
Of course we won't give up anything for peace. We are more than capable of defending ourselves and killing his stacks in the next few turns.

What would your response be to the other teams in the war if they offered you the same thing Dantski did?

Ironically enough, the two of you could be natural allies.

Just had a brief, impromptu chat with Athlete in game. Didn't cover anything too much, but I put a dart in his morale, and confirmed that he was the one pulling the strings. I figured as much; I don't take Jowy for a kingmaster.

Their cities are right on top of each other, their alliance is crumbling, and neither of them have any chance to be competitive for the win unless they take the other's land. War is the likeliest scenario for them now.
